The photo should just appear not cropped (probably some cropping will occur for the screen ratio of the iPad in respect to the photo, but nothing horrible).
Let me know if this solves your problem!

Nope. I had animation disabled already. No difference noted, enabled or disabled.

As someone who has spent hundreds of hours preparing images for the slideshow (over 3000 images accepted), I don’t think the slideshow animation nor this cropping are something that some contributing artists, like Bettina DuPont, would find acceptable. They take the same care with their artwork as Bill does with his song selection and segues. Although some might think it a trivial issue, I think we owe it to contributors like her to render their images as intended.

This is due to the display dimensions of iPads. Unlike pretty much every other device out there (computer monitors, TVs, & most phones), which use a 16:9 aspect ratio, iPads are 4:3 (the same as old-school TVs).

All of RP's slideshow images are 16:9.  iOS apps automatically either crop images to fit the screen on an iPad or add black bars at the top and bottom. Perhaps our app could do black bars rather than cropping — but I suspect most users would prefer things the way they are.

That's one of the many reasons I prefer Android tablets to iPads :-).

Thanks for the tip! Disabling by voice didn't work, but disabling via the Alexa app on my phone did the trick.

You can try disabling and re enabling the skill.
"Alexa disable radio paradise"
"Alexa enable radio paradise"

If that doesn't do it. only other thing is to try power cycling your speaker and internet hardware ( modem, router etc)

Anyone else in the UK not able to listen to RP either through the App or TuneIn? I used to sometimes have intermittent issues with the Alexa app, so I just asked for RP on TuneIn instead. Now neither work at all and it's been like this for a couple of weeks.

Also, the TuneIn website now says that RP is restricted and not available in my region (UK)

Works fine through the RP web player.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Is there any way to get the slideshow transitions and "Ken Burns" effect on the Roku app?

Is there info anywhere about how Favorites work?

• For those wondering: you have to rate 100 songs a 7 or above before your My Favorites channel is shown.
• Does the My Favorites channel only play songs I've previously rated at 7 and above? (There's no similarity-engine action going on?)
• It seems that the average rating is always the rating displayed. Is there a way to tell if I've rated a song previously on Roku?

You should login with the same user as on the computer (check in the app preferences). If the users are the same the favorites will appear soon (probably already appeared).

If you leave the app until crash and the  start the app again (and eventually again), at the end the migration will be done and it’s a once in a lifetime event. Removing the app and reinstalling solves the problem immediately because there are no data to migrate. 🙂 Sorry for the problem, but I was not able to do better than this, it’s very difficult to test and beta testers did not report the issue (it only happens on some circumstances).

Yea, this is somewhat documented in the release notes for this update. To fix a bug, I needed to change the data structure. Depending on your device, the amount of free space and how much cache/history you had it could take more than 10 seconds to migrate data and it could also killed by the system watchdog for being “a bad app” that don’t start fast enough.

After todays 8/9/20 ios update all I had was a black screen with the RP logo at the top, no UI to navigate. Thankfully uninstall/reinstall worked.

After I deleted and reloaded the app onto iphone, I no longer have the my favorites option as a channel.  Still have it on my computer, but listen on the app much more often.  Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
