Since over a week, I do not get any artwork on any of the mp3-streams, via mysqueezebox.com. Is this an issue on the RP side or on the MySB side? I do not think anything has changed on MySB.com, but you never know...

The music streams fine to my SqueezeBox, though, it is just the artwork that is missing.

Thanks for all the great music.

We're exploring a fix for this. AFAIK, it only affects those of you with Squeezebox devices with color displays.

There is yet no fix for this? I very much miss the artwork.
As for color displays, I use the mysqueezebox.com server, and web based interfaces like the remote control on mysqueezebox.com and get no artwork. Even something called Squeeze Control that runs on Windows no longer shows artwork. Sure, all of these have color displays as they use the computer and phone displays, but it seems strange that this would be related. But then, what do I know?

Sorry for pushing this, but the I really do miss the artwork.

Thanks

Thanks! I see the Search button both here and on the Legacy site, but the menu on top is gone on the new site. Bill may be working on something, so I'll be patient. :)

What did you do to get the image on?  Do you have it saved on a photohosting site?

Not sure what you mean by "menu on top is gone on the new site".

No work is in progress.

I used Tumblr, but you can use other sites like Flickr, or Pinterest - they're all free but you need to create an account.  There are probably a lot of others, but those are sites that I look at often.

The Search icon should be to the right of the "Post To This Topic" icon in the black bar at the top, and also the 'Forum Search' button on the "Forum Posting Guidelines" (Index) page.

Thank you! Yes, I did scroll through all the forum posts in General. To see any forums, and post this I had to go back to the Legacy site, and I see there's a Search button, but on the new site, I don't even get the menu on top. Would have showed you what the page looks like, but I can't post the screen shot on the Legacy site.... since I saved it on my desktop.

Bill is probably working on something new and that may be the reason - so I'll be patient. :)

I read some interesting old threads last night that go back eight and even 13 years, that's a lot of posts. So it's difficult to find them again if you want to read on. Wouldn't it be possible to add a few more Forums for subjects that are discussed often? It could be Sport, Politics, Photography, Animals, Windows/Mac issues. That way members would easily be able to find subjects and post under the one that fits.  I see you already have Books, Movies and TV.

It seems like you may be scrolling through all the topics.  You can search the forum for topics by using the "magnifying glass/search" icon in the black bar atop any forum page or the 'Forum Search' button on the "Forum Posting Guidelines" page.

PSD seems no longer a function on the legacy site. And,  on the the new site PSD only plays songs that have been on the playlist in the past thirty days.  I liked the PSD feature when it would find seldom, or never, played songs.  Anyway to achieve that with the new site?

Noooooohhh — the PSD button is gone!!!

I still much prefer the legacy page (with the PSD button, which today all of a sudden is gone) for a few reasons:

â€” I still have access to the rest of the site while I'm listening
— it is a stream; song doesn't restart from the beginning every time I come back to the page (or load it after listening to the stream on another player)
— PSD! I don't want to just forward to the next song. I want another song to then come back to the original stream (syncing takes 3 clicks; but that's beside the point because it takes me "backwards" in my listening)
— not all the wasted space of the Wikipedia info
— my ratings show with each song rather than just a red or green heart

My overall preference is to listen in a separate player, not in a web browser.  I only come to the browser version to PSD and then at some point go back to my player, where the quality is still better and it is minimized to my Windows system tray.

Please bring back PSD!!!!

Unfortunately, the legacy PSD function did not get enough use to let it survive the major infrastructure transition that we have in progress. It would have been very difficult to retain that, given the other changes we're making, and the amount of use that it got just did not justify the effort that it would take. Sorry...

Once you start the player on our new site, you can click the logo in the upper left to switch the screen view to the rest of the site - or click 'full website' on the opening page, then start the player via the controls at the bottom of the page.

Unlike the legacy site, the sound quality on the new site is equal to - or better than - any other player. Click the player settings (gear icon) to switch to a higher bitrate.

We're always open to suggestions on how to make the new player better. You aren't the first to mention the rating display vs colored heart issue. We're considering options there.

sometimes here in the forum i click on a topic and it shows nothing (right now for the trump thread). I have seen this a few other times for other topics. it eventually clears up with someone else posting in the thread. not sure what is causing it. if i go to the legacy site it is fine. windows 10, firefox.
