That term is not used (or all that relevant) here, but there is a Conflict of Interest Act. And on occasion a bit of controversy.

Emoluments.  Always nice to stretch the vocabulary.   BTW, I trust everybody could tell by the way he talks that Jagmeet Singh was born and raised in Ontario.  In a suburb of Toronto to be more exact.

Canadians, and this time I will single out English Canadians, have strange attitudes towards corruption. Everybody understands 'gift exchange' and for modest items, that in of itself is not a problem or controversial.

But the rest of the time, it seems that everybody else except English Canadians are corrupt.  People in 3rd world countries are corrupt.  Quebecois are corrupt.  But no, not English Canadians.

For example.  If a provincial biologist who is popular with resident fly fishing anglers receives a number of gifts of fishing tackle from private firms, is that OK?  The anglers who like him thought it was just fine.

Is the partisan gifting of  work to road building and maintenance contractors  in Atlantic Canada acceptable?   Of course it is, as long as they are not French Canadian.

Have you heard of the disaster industry here in this country?  For some communities and many individuals, the wildfires in central British Columbia represented a generous windfall.  Mind you one could argue that this is not corruption but rather tried 'n true political rent-seeking at work.

‘I condemn your racism’: New Democrat MPP Gurratan Singh confronted at Muslim festival
Singh stopped and responded to the man’s anti-Muslim remarks at the event in Mississauga, Ont.

———————————————

My comments.  1) Watch the video.  2)  There are numerous community-specific justice systems in Canada.  Nobody ever complained until Sharia Law became an issue.  3) Ontario Member of the Provincial Legislature (MPP) Gurratan Singh is the brother of the leader of the federal New Democratic Party (NDP) Jagmeet Singh.

How about  "If I lived in Iqaluit with its 24 hour dark winter days, I would drink.  Drink lots, drink constantly.  And yes, I would do pills.  Lots of them. I might take my snowmobile and drive it off a cliff, just for somethin' different to do."

Lots of controversy behind this one.

As the cartoonist is Canadian, you have to wonder what Trump will next do to Canada.  Send tanks?

Quebec law requires all circumcised government workers to wear secular foreskin covers
The elastic silicon covers, nicknamed “p’tit-tuques,” are branded with proudly secular Quebec themes such as the fleur-de-lis, the cross in the National Assembly, or oppressing minorities.

Trump tactics echo Venezuela’s populist Maduro and put Canada at risk, says former diplomat

Both men leverage existing divisions within their countries, positioning themselves as leaders uniquely able to help one group gain victory over another, he said. Maduro has framed himself as a champion for poor, urban Venezuelans, he explained, while Trump has claimed the title of advocate for disenfranchised, working-class American over the interests of a corrupt, entrenched elite.
