Not familiar with duck browser.  But I just meant the volume slider in the radio paradise website.   It defaults to 100% but if you use it to control the volume it can affect the quality versus the app.    Otherwise most browsers should sound the same.

Couldn't find anything specific to your phone.   A few similar complaints, but no solutions.    On other phones it can be a few things.    Rogue, voice command apps,  background app updater launching apps,  faulty screen digitizer.     The  battery optimizer setting  miamizson  mentioned can cause problems.     I usually recommend disabling it as it can cause all sorts of random issues.

I tried googling "android app randomly opens" and it gets a lot of hits.
So this is a known issue. I'd need some info about the phone model and android version to look into it further.

The app doesn't have any auto open behavior built in.  And I've never run into it.   The closest thing is if the auto fill cache feature is enabled  it will run in the background while charging to see if it needs to do anything.   While doing that it has to show a notification.   Clicking on these notifications will open the app.

We have also had a few complaints about notifications randomly appearing with the song info.  But that's usually related to quirks with the bluetooth media controls.   And is just something some phones have issues with.   Clicking those notifications will also open the app.

Regarding website audio quality.   It supports the same bitrates as the app.    And I'm not sure about every browser but chrome and most others use the same audio engine in the background as the app.  "ExoPlayer"      What most likely  causes some difference is the volume slider on the website.    Probably best to set it to 100%  and adjust the volume using the phone's controls.

Anecdotal and perhaps not very helpful.....

We have an old Lenovo tablet run by an old version of Android that I use mostly to listen to radio news (NPR, CBC, Reuters, Radio-Canada, sometimes Latin American stations) while washing dishes, working on the vehicles and around the house, etc.

If I fail to close the App in question, the App will often start playing again all by itself.  Closing apps prevents this from happening. No requirement to shutdown the tablet.

Which on a personal note reminds that I should review the security of the Android tablet.  No serious works gets done on it and it is not connected to the household LAN but it is does use the wi-fi router for access to the internet.

When I look into the issue,  it is a surprisingly common complaint across a lot of phone models not really specific to any app.
I'd need more info to help.

There is a feature to top up the cache while the phone is charging.   Can disable it in settings if it's causing issues on your device.
settings -> cache options -> cache autofill -> then delete any channels in the list.
