Hi All, I am new to these forums, so forgive me for noob mistakes.
We play RP most of the day on our Node2, from the time I get up. We keep the Node logged in (Music Services/Radio Paradise/Login). This allows us to rate songs with the 'thumb up' and 'thumb down' icons.

Here's the bug: On rating a song, the artwork and song info suddenly reverts to the previous song. Note that this only happens a few song into the stream. It's very consistent.
I have reported the issue to Bluesound,  but that was years ago, and anyways their support is pathetic to nonexistent.
The workaround is to hit 'pause' and then 'play', then the artwork is refreshed.
I actually don't know whether this is a RP issue, or a Bluesound issue.

Is this a known problem?

There is some quirky stuff with their RP app.
Redoing it is on their to do list.  But no eta on when that will be out.

MQA via my NAD M10 and Neat Iota Alpha’s. Just great sounding. Very impressive MQA delivery of streaming digital.

Why is the MQA stream approx. 5 dB louder than the FLAC stream? At least at my end (Node N130). /F*K

Was listening to RP flac+ on my ifi Zen streamer and just noticed an improvement in SQ and when I checked the Zen it had the blue light on which indicates MQA master authentication.(previously it was green).
This was previously only available to bluesound products. Sounds fantastic-thanks RP!
Edit. Appears MQA is not  working any more as the indicator light is now yellow rather than blue.
I hope the Bluesound sponsorship ends soon and MQA can becomes available to all enabled devices.
Nice while it lasted!

Really happy to read, Bill, you plan on releasing 24/96 streams sometime in the future. I’m an unabashed audiophile always looking to tweak the sound to a higher level. 👍

Any idea on when this might happen, and will the streams be flac for android and alac for iOS? Also, will I be able to use an external dac on my iOS device to convert the 24/96 stream, or is this functionality only with the BlueOS product?

Set up question, bought the Node new version. Now I'm not sure where what I'm listing to came from. Speakers or MOA Also bought a set of Wharfedale Elysian II and all I can say is it's absolutely amazing! The problem is I'm using my iPhone as a remote if I hit the sleep button on the phone the Node goes silent if I let it go to sleep on its own Node plays on. Annoying and looking for a fix. Thanks

Just installed a Bluesound Powernode to bring back into use a set of very good wired speakers we were not using enough through an old buggy amp we had. I'm blown away by both the Powernode and the MQA stream quality. The sound is definitely better. Also impressed by the BlueOS app. Very intuitive; got several other talk and music streams setup easily on presets. The node also connects to my headphones and Bose speakers in another room.

Thanks Bill!

No. Not at this point. You should be able to get our FLAC streams, however. Those sound very good.

Just bought a Blue sound node 2i on special at the affiliate link to Amazon for $479  as I wanted to get rid of the clutter and hassle of running a PC for music. What I wasn't prepared for was improvement in sound quality with MQA when connected to my Topping D90 DAC- rivaling CD quality -really outstanding product.
And being able to use your phone or tablet to control the Blue sound while listening is an added bonus.
Congratulations Radio Paradise for being forward thinking and adopting this game changing technology.

When we're ready to launch a hi-res stream, it will be available as straight FLAC as well as MQA.

Due to the nature of how we deliver our audio, it will never be a mix of different sample rates & bit depths. Everything needs to be standardized to the same rate, probably 24/96. Even if the only master we have is 16/44.1 it will be upsampled to 24/96 and will read out as such on your DAC.

Because we mix songs together into a continuous flow, there is absolutely no way around that.

Bill, are you anywhere near ready to launch the straight hi-res FLAC streams available to everyone, as well as the hi-res MQA streams for BluOS?

Also, will you stop providing the current 16bit/44.1 kHz MQA encoded (aka MQA-CD) streams for BluOS in order to actually replace them with the hi-res MQA streams when ready? Presumably the current straight 16bit/44.1kHz FLAC streams will continue to be available after the straight hi-res FLAC are launched, for those that don't require hi-res.

The mere mention of MQA creates nutters emerging from their caves like bats. I see it on all the forums. They're like blockbuster video execs looking at netflix back in the day.

For the rest of us sentient beings: spread the good word on RP. Great content, solid servers, free (I donate monthly).

Oh and: if you're not donating a buck or three each month, you shouldn't even be on these forums. Pony up for these guys.

I was (very) pleasantly surprised when I saw the MQA option when streaming via BluOS.  To my ears, the sound quality has been further improved.  Opinions aside, thanks Bill and Rebecca for giving us so many listening options.  Where else can you get this level of quality and number of listening choices with a donation supported service model?  RP has become a standard fixture in my home, car, etc.  Let's make sure to keep this listening jewel around for a long time!  Thanks Bill and Rebecca!

That wouldn't work. For one thing, the flac streams are the source used for transcoding into AAC & mp3.
