The lyrics of Stevie Wonder’s song “He’s Misstra Know-It-All” from Innervisions 1973  are apt description of Tricky Dick and now Mushroom Dick

This one is humorous: Washington Post sports column today by Sally Jenkins speaks to Trump lacking the nonphysical  characteristics that stellar athletes possess. She talks about Trump’s tendencies to cheat in golf and exaggerate his high school baseball career.   As to the latter, she notes that Trump has claimed that he was scouted by major league teams and participated in a tryout that Trump says also included “another young kid named Willie McCovey.” Jenkins then writes: “McCovey played in the 1962 World Series. Trump didn’t even graduate from high school until 1964.”

Bwa-ha-ha!

And with bone spurs! He's amazing (and pathologically pathetic)...

I completely agree with the premise of this mans argument but are his request and the subsequent discussion having more of a Streisand Effect on this issue than if he'd just left it alone?

The perversion is that if Twitter were to remove the post or ban POTUS for a few days....the messaging from the right will be that the liberals are running a deep-state conspiracy to cover up the truth.

It's wrong and terrible....but arguing is a lose/lose.

It does seem like a lose/lose proposition for him, especially given that effect and the possibility of some "attacker-as-victim" response.  It seems like Trump is "suggesting" just enough (or not just enough) so that he can't be charged with libel or defamation.  Perhaps if left on the site intact and taken collectively, the Tweets could be eventually be more damning, legally - probably not though.

I think at some point you have to call out evil. You don't get rid of racism or sexism or other bad behaviour if you don't say something, even if you won't win in any particular incident.

As Trump Urges Doctors to Lie on Live TV, Federal Official Says He Was Fired for Limiting Hydroxychloroquine Use
Donald Trump tried and failed on Wednesday to coerce two of the government’s top medical experts to endorse his claim that a second wave of Covid-19 infections in the fall is unlikely, hours after a federal whistleblower said he was fired by the administration for limiting the use of an unproven drug treatment touted by the president.

During a televised briefing on the Covid-19 pandemic, the president publicly displayed the political pressure he puts on government scientists by badgering Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, to agree with his rosy projection that the virus “might not come back at all.” (...)
