There is an element of truth to what Trump's son-in-law is saying.   That said, Jared gets top marks for being tone deaf and a strategic fool.  This should help Democrat efforts to get the vote out.

“i think he might just be lying”

Could we coin a new verb, “to Trump”?  Where you tell a lie so much and to so many people that you actually believe the lie?

I think Trump focuses on the situation and interpersonal interaction of that situation. He then figured out how he can win that interaction by trying to win people over or by defying their attempt to confront him with the truth. The facts don’t matter if they get in the way of winning that interaction.

I’m pretty sure Donnie has not just a Happy Place in his mind, he has a Majestic Kingdom there which is just as real or even more real to him than the world around him.

to trump? nah, gives him too much credit for being some type of originator.

What a series of gross generalizations, and that indicate clear prejudice.
Define: "will of the people", define "shameless triumphs"  define: "transient mass delusions" define "forcibly remake humanity".

Perhaps you might want move to North Korea. I'm pretty sure they don't bother with elections there. Or if they do Kim gets 100% of the vote!  Your statement on the value of elections may be the stupidest thing I ever read in my life. My vote is not a "one- day snapshot".  It's the result of four years of consideration. Whoever wrote the  quote you present here should get his ass kicked.

There should rather be consensus about the underlying framework of government and respect for opposing views within that framework. This is not happening and rather than assigning blame to one or the other party, maybe it is time to have a hard think about the very system itself.

Thank you.
