An old, and dear friend's grandpup is facing some serious health issues. If anyone can and would like to help them out, here's the GoFundMe link. I can vouch for them.
Far more than the vermin control though has been his help with the new arrival. I have never had such an easy time training a puppy. So far I've been using Rocky as Koda's leash and it's been working great.
You were there when she needed you. Still are. I had one like her once. Answered to Sis. She was terrified and could alert on thunder I couldn't even hear. Looking back I have regrets that I wasn't more sensitive to her anxiety. I loved her and took good care of her but I was impatient. Now all these years later I still beat myself up about things like that in my life because that's what I do. I admire you for taking her on and sticking with her. She's a special needs pup. I'm sure its hard for you sometimes. Kind of a crease in the golden ribbon.

"Happy" Fifth Gotcha Day, Weezie. I'm sorry you're getting more thunderstorms for your day. And I'm sorry that we are still struggling so much, after all these years.

A friend came out today, and we did the old doggie switcheroo on Weezie (and yes, my friend's dog's name is Reesie!) and we got two walks in, mostly normally. As well as yummy brunch and some much needed yard work!

What a rotten week. I think the Prozac is making Weezie's anxiety worse instead of better. It was four weeks yesterday since we started the meds. I gave her half a dose tonight and plan on calling the vet on Monday.
sorry to hear this
had something similar with my pooch and proin
gave her the recommends dose and she wigged out
stopped for a week and started back with 1/4 the dose twice a week rather than daily

I often take my dogs to overlooks just to see this.
I explained in another thread why I did it. Felix was really good about posing wherever I asked him too. He really only ever balked once at the canyon when I tried to get this shot at a place that didn't have the guardrail.
This evening, I had the opportunity to prove what I've always said ... that I wouldn't hesitate to catch my own dog in the crossfire of pepper spray if it came down to it. Unknown GS dog came through an unlatched door and across the street at us. Woman on the porch was after it immediately, but I sprayed anyway. It was a friendly dog, but I didn't know that, and man it scared the shit out of me. Only afterward did I see pepper spray residue on my legs, and then on Weezie's head. Luckily none got in her eyes. Whew.
