We do like to mix it up from time to time. Gives the peoplekind something to chatter about, other than how shitty our govts are.

The weather in northeast Scotland is cold and partly cloudy. But one of the most enchanting things about living here is watching the skies becoming works of art. Personally, I'm a cold weather kinda girl, mostly because the air is crisp and clean and the skies are often brilliant with ancient, flickering lights. We've had way too much rain and lots of flooding but that isn't unusual given the circumstances. If I knew how to post a photo here, you'd see what I mean about being enchanted with Scotland. Bring on the chill.....

-22C. Headed back down to -26C tonight. -7F and -14.8F
Not that cold, although a few records were broken on the BC coast.
What's with the jump in natural gas spot prices? Reserves are much fuller than usual.

3rd flooding event from rain in roughly 1 month here in Northern NJ. I think its time to head to higher ground.
Down here in the south...my concern this week was the fish in the pond deciding to see what was "outside the walls" when the yard became a pond. I'd say our yard never floods...but it was pretty darn wet the other day.
The biggest problem in January used to be keeping a hole in the ice for the fish to breathe.

Yesterday was in the mid 50âs. Today and tomorrow will be in the mid 40âs with another big rain storm Friday night into Saturday. Most rivers up here are at flood stage. Normally January is a dry month alcoholically and wetness wise up here. Then next week we will be in the 30âs with more snow to replace the stuff washed away Tuesday.
