Bolivia dismissed its October elections as fraudulent. Our research found no reason to suspect fraud.

Somebody should give Evo Morales citizenship in either the USA or Israel.   His ability to talk around the issues is absolutely outstanding.

But not Canada. Same attitude towards the indigenous (despite all the virtuous blathering).

What do you mean?  We tolerate corruption in FN communities.  What is the problem?

The problem is pointing a finger at others, while excusing  (or ignoring) your own policies. It tends to come (in most of those countries) with victim blaming.

Please.........

Yeah.....   Blame a spent power with a per capita income less than 1/5 of the US per capita income for dumb, stupid, easy to manipulate American voters.

Or perhaps more to the point, blame the Russians for the US culture wars, racial conflict, 'us versus them' politics, polarization and similar.

Open question:  Who relies more on fingerpointing?   Donald Trump and his band of keen populists?   Or   Ne0-Marxist guided populists with an authoritarian streak?

Bolivia's interim president Jeanine Áñez promises new elections

excerpts:

Añez cuts a starkly contrasting figure with Morales.

Entering the parliament building on Tuesday night, she brandished an outsized bible, in an explicit rebuke to Morales, who banned the Christian holy book from the presidential palace when he reformed the constitution in 2009 to recognize Pachamama, the Andean Mother Earth deity, instead of the Catholic church.

.......

Her sudden move to the political centre stage prompted a closer look at racist remarks towards Bolivia’s indigenous majority on her social media accounts.

One tweet from 2013 – later deleted – describes indigenous Aymara new year’s celebrations as “satanic” and concludes: “Nobody can replace God!” In another post, she questioned whether a group of indigenous people were genuine because they were wearing shoes.
