It is Easter!

A time when heroic, patriotic North Americans pray for the success of the Israeli nuclear-weapons backed affirmative action ethnic cleansing programme.

It is hard not to love the beautiful rhetoric of cultural superiority that comes tripping off the tongues of Israelis, in particular West Bank settlers.

It is hard not love the 5:1 Kill Ratios.   Many Americans and Canadians love killing civilians which is easy to do if one blithely assumes that all Semitic peoples (Arabs) are "terrorists".

Then there is the lovely Israeli nuclear weapons cache backed by an America Dark Ages morality approach to nuclear weapons proliferation.  The Israelis are not using nuclear weapons for purely defensive purposes but rather for offensive purposes.  The MAD doctrine has been turned on its head.

In effect, the Israelis are show-casing the expanded usefulness of nuclear weapons.

In the background, American voters are blissfully ignorant of how a regional nuclear war — unlikely to directly involve Israel — will blowback and maim or kill perhaps close to half the adult population.  If you thought the SARS Cov2 pandemic was scary, just wait for a nuclear war.  And watch your fellow citizens struggle while many die.

No something i know or believe.  Rather,  I was referring to how the "right" might reply to a story about Tlaib getting Jewish support.

My misunderstanding then.

Israel's Culture Minister: God, Not the People, Chooses the Prime Minister
On the program, the interviewer said to Regev, who belongs to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, that Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman will be the kingmaker in Israel's upcoming do-over election in September. Regev responded, "First of all, he doesn't have all the cards in his hand. He who decides who will be the next prime minister is the Holy One. I still don't know that it's people who choose who the next prime minister will be."

Funny.  I can remember being ~12 years old and reading descriptions of Israel as a theocracy.   One of the world's few theocracies at the time.

Self-hating Jews.  I had forgotten about that one.  It fits nicely with Bad Jews, Soft Jews, SHIT Jews.    It fits nicely into the 'us versus them' discourse of so many patriots.

oh they have seduced the left, the right and most famously snopes ( i think like 35 times/articles)

their tagline for email updates is fake news you can trust   {#Lol}

they've got some funny stuff on their site

satire is making sort of a comeback

the onion, borowitz report, the hummus, etc.

i recommend all of those in an effort to get a laugh/smile

here's good interview/podcast

Christian Satire Site The Babylon Bee Is So Good Snopes.com Treated It Like Real News

Editor in Chief Kyle Mann talks about being taken literally by fact checkers, whether any subject (even a mass shooting) is off limits, and the libertarian sensibility of his humor.

In 2016, the website The Babylon Bee appeared as "Your Trusted Source for Christian News Satire." If you're not a believer, that may strike you as a dubious proposition, but The Babylon Bee absolutely delivers the goods when it comes to comedy, regularly skewering liberals, conservatives, and Christians as a sort of theologically sophisticated version of The Onion.

Recent headlines include "Trump Is Being Influenced by The Russians, Screams Communist!" and "Woke Polar Bear Apologizes for Being White." Classics include "Trump Proves He's Not A Racist By Showing His Rejection Letter From The KKK" and "Local Christian Would Do Anything For Jesus Except Believe Things That Are Unpopular."
