That's a trick question. None of them are correct. Lincoln didn't have a beard. He had smallpox as a child.

I blame Yakov Smirnoff for it, twenty or thirty years back. Ugh.

It reminds me of Christopher Moore's continual references to the Russian women (in A Dirty Job?) who are always saying "It was brown...like bear." Or "He is strong....like bear."

I love how recurring side-characters make cameos in all his novels!

Honestly, I don't even try to remember a lot of things. It's kind of why we invented writing, I figure: ink fades slower than memory.

I've been using one form or another of organizers since college. If I don't put it on my calendar or in my to-do list, odds are it won't happen.

Um...I used to know...  (Sorry, couldn't resist the opening.)  Seriously, though, one thing I've noticed is that the less sleep I get, the less I seem to recall effectively - I'm not sure if it's a matter of getting older or something else, but a good night's sleep makes a lot more difference to me now than it did ten or twenty years ago.  That's kind of basic info, obviously.  I know a lot of folks who take things like Gingko or Gotu Kola, and claim it helps their memory and sharpness.  It seemed to for me but I haven't taken supplements like that in a while.  There are probably others here who know more about herbal remedy matters like that.  To be honest, writing things down (lists, etc) really helps me.
