I've lost 3 pairs of reading glasses (all I've got) and a small pocket knife to peel my mandarins. All in about 10 days.
Luckily I have 2 pair that are missing one of the arm thingies so they go flying off every time I move or just gradually
slide off one side of my huge, bulbous, red-veined proboscis. Anyway, if you see them, let me know. They cost a dollar
a pair so it's not like I can just run down to the dollar store and buy another pair.

alpha by artist.  And I haven't bought an actual, physical cd since I did this.  BUT, the last pages of the last binder have all the mix cds in no certain order.  However I imagine that if I bought actual discs and had to insert them I have some sheets left and would just add another sheet in there.  I did have to do that once I finished the project (took several hours to alpha and stuff) when I found a box of discs I missed.

nonononono - you get a five inch three ring binder and filler pages (office depot, $20 max).  Then you put the liner notes and graphics in the front of each slot and the cd behind and recycle all the cases.  I did this after we loaded all of our music into the mac and I now have two five inch binders that were once five SHELVES of cds.

Exactly.  Then stash the binders (my "collection" is in one, and it's smaller) where you can find them when you need them later.  It might be much later, but the day will come.

I keep all my CD's in case my hard drive and the 2 backup drives all go bad at once (or stolen - they probably won't take the CD'). And they can and do all go bad at once. When my house got hit by lightening it took out all the hard drives along with everything else in the computers.
And besides they take up no space at all compared to the 3000 + LP's I have.
I built shelving for all the CD's into the back of a closet so they are not in the way.
