Eww! A Chevy.
My aunt had a '57 she bought brand new. It was the mid- level Two Ten model... turquoise and white. She drove it just around town back and forth to work. She sold it to my parents in '70 with only 22,000 miles on the clock. It was in primo shape.
My brother and I drove it to high school for about a year and a half.
I built a dune buggy after that. My parents sold the car. And I never saw it after that.

I don't know about the 'man in charge' but this girl dreamed of getting one when she was old enough to drive. I settled for an old-school, 2 door, rag-top Wrangler.

A Dodge Dart!
My son had a '73 Dart Sport... kinda like a Duster.
We built it when he was a junior in high school.
He sold it about 18 years ago to some guy in Norway to fund his '41 Dodge Power Wagon project.
