You will immediately guess the theme. It's been an idea I've had for a while and had actually started a Forum here in RP 12 Years ago about the subject.
What if this character had an iPod and what songs might he/she include on it?

Liked this a bunch, starting with the most excellent cover art.

Some familiar music but you'd think (having raised an actual professional Tolkien scholar) I'd have heard all of this. A few great surprises, Especially the Neil Finn and Steve Hackett. And I always loved that ELO number, just never thought of it in this context.

Well done, will be sharing this with my offspring!

I'm so confused! Oh, well, you got some free music. And I also sent one to Kurster, but knew he left the group.

Got it.  Not much of a movie watcher, but this should be really interesting.  Don't worry always follow your instructions and will not peak, but I have no idea what to expect which is the point I suppose.{#Cheers}

I have my September CDs written and in the process of designing the jewel case artwork/song listing.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to get them to the Post Office until next Saturday, October 5th.

Can a member here PM a list of current Club members and their mailing addresses? I've lost track of who is in the club now.

Sad to see Kurtster departing.  Bon Voyage, friend.

Sorry J.  It's not you, it's me.  {#Lol}

A ripping assistant would just be another mouth to feed and I doan want no one else touching my vinyl anyway.  The sound is so different now I'm kinda lost and second guessing my rips as this new cartridge breaks in and the sound is changing a lot during the process.  I think the break in is finally over now and this is what it will be from hereon in.  This is literally starting the entire thing all over again, reinventing my wheel and replacing the same music I already have.  Which is boring as all hell and still exciting every now and then because a lot of this stuff sounds brand new again. Hence nothing really new for anyone, especially me.

I barely used any effects on most all of this stuff.  For The Benefit Of Mr Kite is from the 50th Sgt Pepper and is basically untouched, and to me, sounds so flippin good, there was nothing to do, except turn down the gain.  The Doors track is from the recent series of 45 RPM double disc 12" vinyl sets.  I was really impressed with the sound from that, too.  I still gotta love the music first though for the sound to matter.  I just got all of them except for The Soft Parade and have to work my way through them.  The Abbey Road 50th is coming up in a couple of days.  I'm overwhelmed with stuff that must be played just to wade through to get to all the other unplayed stuff.  For every minute of final audio there are about 15 minutes of man hours involved.  That is just for an album side.  Doesn't include busting them up into individual tracks.

All that said, this is exactly what I want and wanted to do with my remaining time (no nothing new is wrong with me) on this planet.  It came down to this or collecting stamps ...  I still have a lot of segues stuck in my head that I want to get out yet and hear in real time.  And share.
.
{#Cheers}  y'all

And if it sounds good with the volume down, it will definitely sound better louder ... much better ... {#Mrgreen}

Since everyone has received their mixes, here we go.

Missing from the playlist is the hidden track Boogie ~ John Hartford from the same album that had Gentle On My Mind.

This will be my last mix.  I'm retiring as I have run out of material to work with and gone to the same well too many times now.  No theme.  Just tried to put together something that flowed somewhat sonically and might be listenable for a couple of times.  So these are some of my favorite songs and the Genesis track is my all time favorite album ending song so it is fitting.  The hidden track was for S & G's and also one of my favorite little ditties from so long ago that got some airplay back in the day here in Cleveburg.  For miami, this Yes track is from the new Steven Wilson Yes Remix Box Set.

It's been total fun doing this from the very beginning but I just cannot participate at the level I would like to anymore.  Maybe in a year or so I might have enough vinyl ripped to come up with something again, but for now as the title says Mahalo and Hasta Luego.  Thanks for letting me be a part of this.

SCREEN SHOT PLAYLIST CROPPED

I know my ears are in for a treat of excellent sound quality and well-researched musical history with one of your mixes but it was also sad to see this as a swan song. I wish you well and an enjoyable replenishing of your reservoir. As far as I'm concerned you're still on the mailing list and welcome to jump back in any time.

Rest up, recharge, rip, snort. We'll be here!
