I was looking up Isa Lake in Yellowstone for some reason, it's a small pond that drains into the Pacific and the Atlantic/Gulf. The NPS website said it drains out the east to the Pacific and out the west to the Gulf so I helpfully said "eh, you got that backwards, right?" and they agreed and changed the website. Oops.
acknowledged to be the only natural lake in the world that drains to two oceans, but it also unique in that it does so backwards. Throughout the year, the western end of the lake flows into the Firehole River, which meanders east to the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers and eventually to the Gulf of Mexico. In spring, the eastern end runs into nearby Shoshone Lake, which then drains, via a very convoluted path, into the Lewis, Snake, and Columbia Rivers on the way west to the Pacific.
Likewise, the Pacific side of the Panama Canal is further east than the Atlantic/ Gulf side. Sounds unlikely but look at the map.

One time a friend and I were lighting firecrackers on his 6th floor balcony. I was holding a slow burning punk in my left hand and a firecracker in the right while saying something, when the sizzle started. So I reared back and threw it like a baseball with perfect form. It popped three feet away. But in any case I don't hear so good in that ear: '70's rock.
Somebody I know asked me the other day how old I am. I told him 67. He said "How come you act like your 27?" I said thanks. Debbie always tells me to grow up.
As they say, you're only young once but you can be immature forever

Callum is working as an EMT, last I heard. And also engaging the services of EMTs, as he was run over by a passing motorist as he rode his bicycle... Haven't heard a medical update but I think ? he's doing okay. (just checked, and he helped a friend move so must be recovered!)
Good news.
I don't want to see anymore in the death of R.P. members list.

Durn furriner accent threw them off.
Oh, wait. They all talk funny.
Speak English for crying out loud!
I remember quite a while back, when one of our group members... Callum (Whatever happened to him?)... was making some point from an "England" perspective. And I commented he needed to speak English so we could understand him. Somebody commented back at me saying "He is English!"
I forgot to note that I was being sarcastic.
