Ravens are cool.
I love their personalities.

We used to get big gatherings of crows on the recess grounds when I was in 6th grade. A few would fly in, walk around and peck a bit at the grass. Then some more landed and even more showed up suddenly...And then they'd start cawing and calling.

This wasn't too long after Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" aired on TV so 6th grade STOPPED while the students gaped at the scene. What were the crows doing? What were they going to do? Were we trapped inside?

Crows are very cool but I'd give them a wide berth in your neighborhood.
Crows are cool.
Being as big as they are, and when they gather together like in those big groups... they can be intimidating.
I always whistle to the ones that come into my yard. They just stop what they're doing and stare at me.

I took this shot of just a half of our neighbors front yard. The other half had the same amount of crows. At least 26 crows on their grass. And quite a few more up and down the street.
15-20 years ago, we never had crows in the desert. Now they're everywhere.
They seek out the shade, and I can't blame them. Today is 115+ F.
I bet they wish they didn't migrate to this place.

A murder of crows.

See there bubba, you can pick up your barrel early since it’s empty because you didn’t use an F’n cover.
