FTA: "Repeated reviews of the election results have found no issues that would overturn President Joe Bidenâs narrow victory in Arizona. Last month, Maricopa County released the results of two new audits of its equipment that showed no malicious software or incorrect counting equipment and that none of the computers or equipment were connected to the internet."
The only way I'd be on board with anything like that is culling aged elephants. I read somewhere elephants grow something like six sets of teeth in a lifetime - once the last set wears out, they can't eat anymore, and die of starvation. So there's that. Why? Richard Dawkins had asked what is the difference between a man who feels he is a woman and a white man who feels he is black.
Here's their statement to it: His latest statement implies that the identities of transgender individuals are fraudulent, while also simultaneously attacking Black identity as one that can be assumed when convenient.
Utterly hard to find any "humanism" between the accusations of "implies", "fraudulent", and "when convenient"...
And what, pray tell, was Dawkins answer? Was it a rhetorical question and really meant that he thinks there is no difference? Context is everything.
ps the American Humanist Society doesn't speak for all humanists. They don't even speak for all American humanists
For the sake of the country, I hope that's end of it.
I totally understand the concern. It will depend in some part on the sentencing.
I would hope for the sake of justice and for the sake of the country, that Chauvin gets 20 or 25 years to life. The stills and video I have seen portray Chauvin as enjoying what he did. Coincidence perhaps. It is political dynamite all the same.
Some of the arguments used by the defence could be used to justify the police killing close to half of adult Americans due to poor pre-existing health conditions. Unacceptable.
Just as unacceptable as saying it is OK to fill an airshed with toxic pollution (small particulate matter) because only those with pre-existing health conditions will suffer.
