I haven't imbibed in almost 15 years but even in my .04+ days I didn't fall around as much. I'm almost as bad as Bob Slattery!

Yeah, been thinking about you during my recovery.  Not much farther along.  I just added spaghetti to the mix and been doing breaded cod fillets and well done broccoli for a little while.  Finally figuring out how to bite into something.  High protein Boost is still number one.  What has been good though is that I can now have chocolate and fudge without jumping through the roof in pain !  Come July if the healing is far enough along I might be ready for my finals.  Hang tough, friendo.  It will get better.  Promise.

Thanks man!

I had most of my teeth pulled. I've been waiting since Sept. to get my new ones made and I finally got them... but I can't talk or eat with them in. A total waste of time - driving 125 miles twice a month for nothing. Stupid freaking medi-cal quality garbage. I guess I'll live the rest of my life eating oatmeal and yogurt. And hobo tapioca...

...you have to swallow handfuls of desiccated grass fed beef liver capsules because they took out all your teeth and you can't eat real food and you have to wait months for new choppers because the dumb ass medi-cal clinic will only allow you 3 hours of dental work per month...

Just had all of mine yanked in September.  I've got temps but they are pretty much worthless.  Still living on Boost, creamy peanut butter by the spoonful, instant oatmeal, an occasional batch of instant mashed tater's and vito's.  And caffeine and nicotine, lots of that.  I have found that I can have Milky Way's now without any pain !  I can sorta squish them and melt them in my mouth and get them down. No more nuts.  I guess that I am almost now a vegan without trying.  I'd be gluten free if not for the oatmeal.  I'm not really missing solid food that much, actually.  Lost 40 lbs since.  I've bottomed out and stabilized at 175 lbs which is what I weighed in HS.  My back hurts less and my sciatica is being nice to me.  Have more energy than I've had in years. The only solid food I was able to manage with my temps is very well done broccoli, once.  Isn't worth it yet.

Boost is really easy to do. and the dishes are reeeaally easy to do.  The permanents are still six or nine months out when my mouth is fully healed.  That appears to be the key to getting good fitting dentures is the patience to wait.  And I'm $4500 lighter, up front in advance.  No dental with Medicare.  Maybe medi-cal ain't so bad when you look at how much you're not paying.

But more than anything the pain from sugar, hot and cold and sucking air the wrong way is now over.  And all of the poison my teeth were dumping into my system has ended.

Feel better, friendo.  It gets better !  {#Hug}

That and the last physical daily reminder of how bad the chemo tore up my body is gone after nearly 12 years of pain and embarrassment.

I’m on MA healthcare and I cant find a local dentist who takes that insurance. I can bite but not chew well myself, and my front teeth are now showing wear.
