Not really into pop music, have never even heard of these guys and have scrolled past this documentary many times in Hulu. When finally I watched trailer and all of these improbable accolades "Best documentary ever made" "Most important since Spinal Tap" or something like that and I am like....really? I start to watch and I am immediately hooked though still unsure if these guys are for real or is this like Spinal Tap satire?   It's real and about way beyond just music. This is a must see and well deserved of all the accolades.{#Clap}

A great testament to individuality and not compromising your artistic vision.  If you haven't seen yet, you must.

Caught this doc on Trey Anastasio on a flight back from Charleston. It didnt do a great job "capturing the recording process," but overall was entertaining.  Trey seems like one of those guys back in school who played in a band....and actually made it.

I don't know how many of y'all are familiar with CuriosityStream, but we picked it up late last year and it's been our main entertainment source since then.

I saw that, but am bothered by the title off the get go Robbie Robertson and The Band??  Really?? I have not read Levon's book, but have heard Robertson has totally done the other guys wrong financially and claiming all the credit distorting history.   May be wrong on that, but would like to hear from someone who is more versed on the ins and outs of their history. I mean I obviously do not know these 2 guys personally, but my gut tells me Levon is more of a stand up guy and Danko tends to agree:

Rick Danko, The Band's bass player, sides with Helm. " I think Levon's book hits the nail on the head about where Robbie and Albert Grossman and some of those people went wrong and The Band stopped being The Band. I'm truely friends with everyone but hey...it could happen to Levon, too. When people take themselves too seriously and believe too much of their bullshit, they usually get in trouble."

This has been out for a couple of years now someone may have already posted but I finally got around to watching it and I cannot recall learning so much in one documentary before.  This is extraordinary:

As a lifelong bodybuilding fan of course I loved this one, but this story is so much more than that.  Highly recommend:

Nice, ive got some 40 y.o. tapes that still play fine (plenty of dead bootlegs).  Of course, all pre-recorded tapes were crap...had to do you own Maxell/TDK version from vinyl.
I'm in the process of replacing a capstan motor for my old Nak.

Seems like the very thing that drives them to create, also drives them to self-destruction.
