Thanks! The behemoth wood stove insert is such a stumbling block. I'm not sure how it will be possible to get it out of the sun room. The side door to the outside, right next to the fireplace is only 26 inches wide. And it weighs a ton!

it looks nice and as long as it is gas and fires up with a remote control you're all aces

i use a pellet grill/smoker and the 3-2-1 hack for ribs, chicken and roasts
fairly easy and consistent results
burgers and the occasional hot dog/sausage? trusty little weber q gas

Actually, inspect the fire brick to see if they are in good shape. I replaced a bunch in my wood burning stove this summer because they were badly cracked and crumbling & that required removing most all of them. So if yours need to be replaced, remove them to make the stove lighter & easier to move. Also remove the doors. All can be reinstalled in its new home.

Thanks! Good ideas!

Is the outer trim is attached with screws? That will come off to make it somewhat easier. An appliance dolly or heavier duty hand truck would move it about the easiest I think. I actually did my own that way several years ago. It was a Craig and very heavy but wow what a heater. I got several hundred for it.  You won't have any problem selling a quality insert like that.
The fire brick lining shouldn't be josseled too much if possible. Please have help.

Oh goodness! I won't (can't) move it by myself. R managed yesterday and I helped absolutely nil.

A co-worker is interested in it, but their new house won't be finished construction until spring. I want this out before the end of October, so I could possibly have the gas insert by the first of the year!

Nice looking gas insert.
My buddy and his wife put one in last year and they love it. Keeps the living room nice and toasty. So my other buddy had one installed as well.

I can’t since I don’t have gas and have been looking into a multi+fuel wood/pellets burning insert for myself until I saw how much they go for now.

At least 3/4 of my chimney is new so I shouldn’t have a problem to get one installed down the line.

Thanks. I like that the doors are real. I'm very pleased with the local store. The saleswoman is awesome.

And I have LP for my cook stove and clothes dryer, so will need my gas company to come and extend the line. I might need a bigger LP tank too. We'll see.

But I ate some dinner and went back to the outlet box, forced myself to be patient and thorough, and got it back to the way it was before I started "fixing" it. Looks like one of the light switches is not functioning - the third of these, which is really annoying. One is stuck in ON and now two are stuck at OFF. They're first generation, and now they're selling third G so I'll swap them and see what happens.
Seriously, my Better Half™ was sitting at the dining room table with her phone open to call 911. I told that what she really needed was to remember where the fire extinguishers are.

I have no experience with smarty britches switches. Good luck with that.
