I use Radiologic DJ as the backend audio system. The music flow is fantastic and all its options enable you to create and autocreate flows like on RP. The frontend is a Drupal website that has been extensively modified to create a page for ratings, comments, cover art and information with the start of each new song. It also enabled all the statics i.e. what bands get played most, playlists, most popular and so on. Got about 14,000 titels in rotation. The site uses an HTML5 player in an iFrame for consistent audio playback (even when you are navigating the page). The audio stream is icecast2 and set up so that you can only listen when you are logged into the site.

Before I used to listen to RP exclusively from 2004 to 2019, recently I listen to my station 80% and to RP 20% for inspiration.

It's my fun project. What I love most is the fact that the system allows me to revisit and rediscover my music and to be surprised with each new title. Of course for that to work all you titles need to be properly tagged and rated.

I do the same thing.
I now have almost 4000 songs, with almost 10 days of music on my iTunes.
It's really cool to listen to.

Wow! I like that song! Wow! I like that song! Wow! I like that song! Wow! I like that song! Wow! I like that song! Wow! I like that song! Wow! I like that song! Wow! I like that song!

Well, the air works in the house. So I'm cheating there.

I'm very small potatoes when it comes to being a contractor... It's me, myself and I.

I don't care about the painting.
My job is to get rid of the funky "knock down" texture and make the walls smooth.
I bid that stairwell really high.

Do you have to dampen and scrape that horrible texture to get rid of it?  I've had to remove "popcorn" ceilings before and done it that way - it sucks, as you probably know.  What's holding that extension ladder in place - a ceiling joist, the side wall?

It's hard to dampen something when it's painted.
Nope it's all floating . I sometimes I can do it in two coats because I know the materials to use. You'd think after doing drywall finishing for almost 48 years... I'd figured it out by now.
Yep. I've done so many acoustic removals I've lost count. They're my bread and butter jobs... with cottage cheese.
That ladder is resting against the wall. I attached a 2x4 across the window, so when I lowered it down to the next level, the ladder wouldn't rest on the window.
It looks like weird angle there... but it has a significant lean.

The wife said about $4500 to $5000 to paint that space (just the 3 visible walls, add more for the ceiling) and more than that if there was carpet and other things to tape off and protect.
