People in Spain drink it with warm(!) milk, mixed or shaken 1:3, especially popular in discotheques, etc.

Mind though, milk in Europe is generally not as "watered down" as in the US.

A "mini-beer" is a Licor 43 cocktail designed to visually imitate a beer. A miniature pint glass is mostly filled with Licor 43 and topped with a chilled dairy-based liquid, such as heavy cream or Irish Cream. The colour of Licor 43 mimics the amber colour of a pale beer, and the dairy product mimics the white colour of a beer's foamy head.
(Quote: Wikipedia)

You can do that mini-beer thing also with Amaretto and cream on top, in a shot-glass, quick-warmed in a microwave... delicious! Not only Italians like that.

Some friends had some and we gave it a try. It's really sweet and has sort of a vanilla / citrus taste. We sipped it straight, but I could see using it in a screwdriver. We also talked about making a carajillo, which is something like cubano but with this instead of a lot of the sugar - basically a spiked espresso.

Edit:  Google brought up those and similar suggestions, but also this: Ginger Ale, Lime and 43 - I bet that would be fantastic with a nice spicy ginger ale.

Thanks!

A mashup.

Bourbon, vodkow, jagermeister, whiskey, spiced rum, white rum.

And a couple ice cubes.

And music to match the mood.

Just got home from work. Tomorrow is more than Xmas for me. It's my first full day off from work since Nov 17. Time to sip on some of that fine whiskey.

Utah destroys thousands of gallons of beer

Orrin Porter Rockwell, the notoriously violent bodyguard to both Mormon Church founder Joseph Smith and Brigham Young.
Known as the “Destroying Angel,” Rockwell claimed to have killed 150 men.

Rockwell died in a Salt Lake City horse stable on June 9, 1878, reportedly “trying to sober up from a drunken episode.”

Yeah, the sandals-and-socks thing makes it seem that it could be outside the US, maybe the Mediterranean region?  The label isn't legible but it is an unusual, short-stemmed glass she has on the tray.  As far as I recall, ouzo glasses traditionally don't have stems.

OMG!  We had these, but got them after the gold was all worn off.... Donated them a few years ago to make room for some others.....but YEAH, I would love these!!  AND ALL OF YOUR STARBURST ARE BELONG TO ME!

If they go through the dishwasher the gold disappears. I have a really cool carafe from my grandmother that is the same blue / gold but the blue is dancing/drinking poodles. The gold on that one is long gone, but it's so funky and from my grandma, so it will always stay.

The amoeba's are mostly in really good shape, the starburst are a mixed bag. But we use them all the time. I love the dings and scratches on them - character, and it fits with my motto - use things, love people.  There is also a place here that collects and sells all kinds of vintage stoneware. They usually have a box of starburst that is too beat up for the collectors, so he makes me a deal on them.

How cool is that????  I have 4 dinner plates (which were a gift from a friend), 4 small plates, a platter, a serving dish, salt and pepper shakers, and some cups and saucers in that pattern.

We bought the gold-free glasses at a junk store, already stripped of their glory..... it wasn't until later that we realized half of the design was missing.....
And Grandma's carafe is a precious thing.... I get that!
