Treehouse
and Trillium are the reasons to go back to Massachusetts....Barry, Robin, and Maurice would agree.

Massachusetts- Quadrupel- 10.2% ABV. fragrant, robust and full bodied, mahogany in color and crowned with dense, tan, frothy head recipe development phase of this Quad stretched over three years.

This is the Best Quadrupel IPA I’ve ever had. And it’s smooth and not Hoppy at all.

Confused.... Trappist from the US?

Achelse Kluis (at cycling distance), De Koningshoeven/La Trappe (bit further away), and then of course Chimay, Orval, Rochefort, Westmalle and Westvleteren, are the old ones. Obviously some US monks, with the help of Chimay, started brewing recently.

Learned something new today!

When you can't pay the bills making jams and jellies....make beer

I have some Westy 8 and 12 in the basement...carried by bike, train, and plane (in that order) by a very well-trained daughter...which maybe someday will have competition from Massachusetts.  Someday.

Spotted a beer in the cooler today from a Wyo brewery so hey. Kind of iffy on the labeling but that's part of the charm.

All Together is a worldwide, open-ended beer collaboration created to raise support for the industry we love so much. It's an effort to raise awareness and provide relief, even in the smallest way, to those who are struggling. We're inviting any brewer, from any corner of the planet to participate. The recipe is open source, the artwork is public, and the name is yours to use.

This one's actually tasty for a "session" IPA, usually they don't impress me. But your local brewer might augment the recipe...

I usually spring for a bottle of something like that for Thanksgiving. Last year's was a bit much for any of us... Maybe in an aperitif portion...

Yesterday I picked up some Narwhal. It's 10.2! I'd forgotten that part.

Our near-local brewer is Sam Hoffman, he really loves his traditional German beers; Lazy's neck of the woods has Bayern, and they don't even do an IPA. So we have some good ones here. And there's an event over at Sam's this afternoon. I predict a foray...
