This is tough on Patty for obvious reasons.  Keep her in your thoughts for now if you can.  A special thanks to our Beanie who has been giving Patty comfort over dealing with the loss of a child.  Something that thankfully few experience and something that no one ever should have to do.

Welp, when I was a kid we were semi-annual attendees of Union Presbyterian. The preacher there was a loud, boisterous cowboy who saved many many lives with his beautiful attitude. He buried my best friend who took his own life at 13. Such a difficult job sometimes. His wife was equally loud and opinionated and scary as hell, even to adults, because she was so quick and cutting and funny as hell but still scary. Usually right, tho. They have a daughter who wasn't welcome at the Presbyterian church anymore, so they started attending the Episcopal services that Justine signed me up for, so that was kind of cool that I got to see them again. She passed away last week and was buried on Friday. Today, he is in the hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. I know he (and she) expected to be one of those couples who when one died, the other would follow shortly. I guess it wasn't happening quick enough. He'll be with her soon now.
