For Patty, she's had a rough week.  In her third different hospital for three different problems.

1st was for hitting the open dishwasher door corner hard with her leg.  Because her platelets are broken, she does not stop bleeding.  Took her in after 36 hours of waiting for it to stop on Thurs.  Sun she starts coughing up blood, another trip and an admission for pneumonia on Monday.  Had it for the past month or so, at least.  They toss her out the next morning with some antibiotics.  It wasn't our first choice, it's where my Dad passed, but no beds where we wanted to go.

Now just got back home from the third ER/D after taking her in for an intestinal blockage.  Not the first time, we immediately identified the symptoms. If it doesn't let go by itself like the last one did, they will have to go in.  There's scar tissue from an earlier surgery 10 years ago.  Being a bleeder isn't good and the possibility of a bag is even worse.  We're just hoping that it let's go and they don't have to go in.  It's actually a good thing she was tossed from the second hospital because if the blockage happened there they would have fucked it up worse.  That and there were some cases of MRSA and C diff nearby there we quietly found out about.  Part of why they got her out of there so fast.

She's now in good hands and the right place this time for this problem. I'm going to bed and hope that nature works with a little help rather than a lot of help.

Good news.  Surgery went well.  Was necessary, the blockage was not going to move because the bowel was twisted and scarred.

Same doctor who did her earlier colon surgeries 10 years ago did this one too.  He kinda dropped what he was doing to take care of her with no notice.  Can't say enough good things about this truly wonderful man.

She's resting and the Dilaudid pump is helping her to be comfortable.  She'll be coming home in 3 to 5 days depending on her progress.

Thanks again for the good thoughts, they always do help.  Long day that started 24 hours ago is over and i'm going to bed.

{#Cheers}
