I own Linn audio gear and they provide software to support their equipment. Included in that is an offering of online digital radio stations of superior quality (192kps+). Radio paradise is one of those offerings, and I wanted the folks in charge to know that their partnering with this Scottish firm was not for naught.

Your system (and similarly in other countries) is construed/allowed to be porcine (with some pigs being more equal than others). And has been for a couple of centuries.

Again thank you for allowing me to intrude on your forum, my real objective was to let the folks that manage and operate the site know that I was directed here through Linn's radio offerings and my contribution should be registered as such. Therefore, I support both Linn and Radio Paradise. I decided to post here because I'm in Frisco, TX. I'll check in from time to time, again thanks for the warm welcome.

By the way Bill, I found your folks excellent station through Linn's radio offerings. Please do register the credit to them. I plunked down a contribution last week to keep the lights on and have been hawking your excellent offerings to everyone I encounter. Very well done, thank you.

Welcome. You've found the best music on the net. I hope you don't find us too group thinkish - most of us have spent too much time around each other. Watch out for the time sinks, and don't even try to be fast than Scott in Trivia (it can't be done - seriously, the guy owns a time warp)

BTW, where are you from, does anything define you other than rabid conservatism and good taste in music?

RichardPrins Thank you for the reply. I'm clearly new to this forum and am still trying to navigate my way around the features/barricades.

I promise not to redefine your way of life or political philosophy if you agree not to redefine mine. I'm willing to engage anyone in honest conversation as I'm sure you are. Is there something I can answer for you from my perspective?

Edit: I'm going to have to find another black Adder image this one's distorted in the frame size =D.

The third option (usually available with false dilemmas) is that it is both.

Yeah, I remember the Hurricane Sandy relief bill.  There was more pork than real aid in that bill.  It was a direct deposit into an Obama slushfund.  These years later, there are still far too many victims that haven't received one dime yet, for a host of reasons including too much redtape.  I understood why who voted against it.  Voting on bills is very misleading if you don't know the contents.  Many votes against are due to specific amendments, just as many votes for ignore odious amendments saying the bill is too important not to pass.  It cuts both ways.  Uninformed voters don't know and just take the votes on the most superficial level.  Its a huge part of the dysfunction and gridlock in Congress.  The House Speaker and Senate majority leader are the ones responsible for this, more than anyone else.

He should just say no, so that the smoking hot outrage that follows will simply evaporate all the water... Hey presto!

Or get Cruz to pray really, really hard for help from above...
