It's obvious at this point that Putin cannot win this war. His army has been destroyed/collapsed and he's attempting to replace it with conscripts and stored equipment that's 50 years old. His air force is apparently utterly ineffectual, and he has lost the support of the populace. He's a megalomaniac, so he presses on. I seriously hope there is enough actual intelligence among the upper-echelon military to keep him from using nuclear weapons.

My Russian business partner was watching Vlad this morning and suggested that everyone read the transcript, and not listen to the media. He stated several times...he's completely insane. It was a new level, beyond even what he expected having grown up in the USSR. I watched a little, and it's pretty obvious that even those in the room were struggling with the speech. A lot of looking around...
yep, a lot of people are very nervous about the use of nuclear arms. Acting insane is a good way to stoke those fears. Then again he might be insane. He's made a ton of bad mistakes this year, even from his own point of view.
