this is what my friend said:

As for The Dead, they are playing the Garden Saturday, April 25th.  I'm ONLY going in for that lottery even though they will be playing other venues Nearby.  The dead.net site, I cant find details of the presale tickets except that presale starts this Tuesday.  So, I recommend both you and I trying to win that lottery for 4 tix.  Register and create a login ahead of time, ahead of Tuesday!!!   I just did it today.

I really wish I could go to the show that's on my birthday...

I'm also hoping they get a bit energized and decide to extend into a summer tour... A nice summer show at the Gorge would be awesome.

It's like walking into a church and starting in on the evils of religion. You're not converting anyone, and you're pissing off people who weren't harming you or yours.

some people have no manners.
they will force their opinions on others, as though what THEY believe were the only thing with value.

deadheads are, almost to a fault, kind and accepting.
to spew them (us) with opinionated vitriol is completely uncalled for.

if one does not like the subject matter of a thread, one should just stay the f#*k out of it.

normally, i am very mild mannered, and would not say shit if i had a mouth full of it...but this is really quite ENOUGH.

I don't have any one favorite band but if I did they would at least be  able to tune their instruments.

Until you can do that on a consistant basis you aren't a rteal musician- you are just a trained performance monkey.

The Dead were con men taking a free ride on the dreams of idealistic people.
