Yeah, no more bike rides after work. Unless I get a blinky light (it's been on my shopping list forever—need to get that)

I remember making full use of my extra hour in my younger years.

Now...my eyes open at 5:08am (formerly 6:08am) and I am fully awake and ready for coffee. Had nothing to do with my cat—she was fully prepared to sleep longer. Maybe I'll reclaim the hour later today with a little nap.

Morning to you out there !

Just woke up myself about an hour ago from my snooze coma induced by mass quantities of real maple syrup, panckes and snausages earlier today.  Its maple syrup time again here in good ole NEO.

Ah! I remember syruping when I was a kid growing up in Maple City, Ohio.

When I was a kid, we would always go out to Chardon for the maple surple festival.

Its still a big deal up here.  Real Geauga County maple syrup is around $50 a gallon.

I think that I had about a pint on my flapjacks this morning.  Next Sunday, the pancakes will be green

Sounds like heaven. I finally finished a pint of syrup from Beanie's sugaring cooperative, right before we moved.

Not eating much sugar these days, though.

Yes! Especially those of us who live on the east side of the time zone appreciate the extra evening light.

When I lived in Cleveland, I remember it staying light until almost 10pm, because it's on the western side of the eastern time zone. Chicago is the opposite.

I think it's July when all of the restaurants start closing before the sun is down that it pisses me off the most.
