Does it help anyone of the human kind to point fingers at lies, deceit, etc. of one party within a two party system?
In my country, there are 3-5 parties ruling, yet they're all the same hypocrites.
So, what helps?
...strongly reminding me of TV-channels to choose from the slime oozing out there.
I would say yes, because they are not the same hypocrites they are different hypocrites. One satire site refers to the two main parties here as "Shit" and "Shit Lite"
The previous government was pulling some egregious things, like covering up for (probable) rapists in Parliament House, giving almost all disaster relief to electorates that they held, and a whole slew of other stuff. They were a disaster in terms of how they governed, never mind whether you like their philosophy or not. They were voted out by a combination of swings in traditional swing districts and a loose coalition of predominantly women, social liberal/fiscal conservative independents.
That does a couple of things aside from getting the chucklefucks out of power. It shows that people are against the swing to the extreme right that appeared in their candidates. But it also showed that a lack of integrity has consequences. That is a warning to all parties. I hope.
I think that the narrative that "they all are the same" has been promoted by groups that want to demoralize the electorate and cover up their bad behavior. At least here it is promoted much more by the right wing and I think that says something.
Has anyone ever obtained a Section 502 USDA low income loan?
Or have any experience with them?
Because I have questions.
"Also known as the Section 502 Direct Loan Program, this program assists low- and very-low-income applicants obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing in eligible rural areas by providing payment assistance to increase an applicant’s repayment ability. Payment assistance is a type of subsidy that reduces the mortgage payment for a short time. The amount of assistance is determined by the adjusted family income."
I did years ago when it was the FMHA.
Very restrictive. Loans were only available for certain plots of land and the conditions of the structures was somehow strangely addressed.
Then there is your financial situation. The qualifying process was very stringent. You needed lot's of hard documentation of some obscure things.
Itemized list of all of your assets / possessions for example. You cannot have over a certain amount. Income obviously. Like preparing for a bankruptcy.
I was in a similar situation that you are in back when I looked into it around 30 years ago. They were very slow, hard to communicate with.
So slow we ended up buying a trailer and living in a trailer park instead. Only place that would offer any kind of financing with what little we had for a down payment albeit with a ridiculous interest rate.
I doubt little has changed since it is still run by the USDA. Maybe things have improved since, I hope so. By all means explore it as an option, just don't have any high hopes.
