Vegemite is now a regular part of my breakfast. With peanut butter on toast.

Still planning on trying marmite.

Got some vegemite last weekend at Pete's Frootique. Tried it this morning. Doesn't taste great but doesn't taste that bad. I kinda like it, actually. But you're right about using a thin spread. {#Laughing}I can see myself acquiring the taste. Next step: toast with vegemite AND cheese. {#Cheers}

I might even try vegemite and PB. Let the two fight it out for their flavour to break through.

Since you are such a good bloke, I'll give you a tip: use a really really thin spread of Vegemite. You don't want to slather it on. Trust me.

Sounds close, but I think it is salt to taste, then add another 2 tablespoons. They tried to market a low salt version for a while, but it didn't sell darnit.

That should be 2 billion beef cubes.
also a pinch of cumin.
I used to be married to a Mexamerican girl. It's a long story but cumin is important I learned...
So is acumen but who's counting...

Sounds like a plan. But isn't adding salt gonna ruin it?

Well, that's not gonna work. The same product on Amazon.ca is $120CAD (including shipping), but it is a 3-pack. So that makes it $40 a jar.

Then they have another one but it's 90 small 4.8g packages. For $23CAD plus $56.93CAD for shipping from Australia.

And if you're not careful searching Amazon for vegemite, you might end up here. {#Naughty}

I'll have to check in the city next time i'm there.

Looked at 4 different spots today for vegemite with no success. I'm due for a trip to the city sometime soon, should be no problem getting it there.

At one store (Sobeys), I went to customer service and asked. The lady says, "Vege(blank)" (forget now what she said). So i repeated..."Vegebite?" No. Vegemite, like marmite. She calls a lady from Produce and asks her. The lady looks at her funny. She repeats it. The lady from produce says, "Vegespray?" {#Lol}

The orange coloring of cheddar in The States was once considered a way of differentiating its state of origin:  NY State is usually a deep orange, Wisconsin is a pale orange, and Vermont is always white, but NYS aged cheddar (over 4 or 8 years - I forget) is usually white as well.  Most British cheddars are some shade of orange, as are Leicester, Cheshire, and Gloucester cheeses.  The orange color is from annatto seeds and is a natural food coloring which has been used for centuries.

Yeah a little sharper but not like a really aged cheddar. And we don't go for that orange shit. More of a butter yellow. Really I'm not too fond of the stuff.
