I agree. I look at it and go "Oh well". Kinda like music lyrics to me. The music is most important. If the lyrics are good... added bonus. Gas is the important part... if it's cheap... added bonus.

I honestly don't pay attention to the price of gas. It's something we must have, so I tank up. We use Costco as much as possible, because I know it's the cheapest we can buy.

The wife and I are celebrating our 45 wedding anniversary this early June.
We're going to finish our Route 66 trip of the parts we missed... we started in Needles, California and drove to Chicago two summers back.
We are going to Santa Monica and through the Cajon Pass, Barstow, Ludlow, Amboy. On through to Flagstaff.
Just a nice road trip to get out. Even through Barstow. California's left armpit.

Buy the way... just bought gas for the wife's Durango today. $4.09 a gallon at Costco... cheapest gas in the desert.

Now don't you all want to move to California.

Got topped off yesterday $2.78/gal regular MA/NH Border independent minimart station. And the rest of the prices listed: $2.86 Plus & $2.96 Super

Geez, these instant price changes are amazing considering how long it used to take. Back in the day on the Ohio Turnpike it would take about 10 minutes of shutting the pumps off, doing the drawers and printing out receipts. Same thing with shift changes, 3 times a day 24/7/365. Not to mention having to do all of the signs manually which took time, too. People in a hurry would get upset because it sucked to be them when they got there. Now one person can sit in a booth and do it all with a couple of mouse clicks ...
