I'll see if I can find a link with the details about the connection that some see between the two.

Exo's article below is sort of painting with a broad brush. The author seems to have particular beefs with Big-C Catholicism and also evangelicals, and paints all Christianity with that brush. To say Christians don't get passover etc may be true but as I've said before, 95% don't get much of anything. Because in my church we say something like this every Sunday:
The Breaking of the Bread

The Celebrant breaks the consecrated Bread.

A period of silence is kept.

Then may be sung or said

Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us;
Therefore let us keep the feast.

In Lent, Alleluia is omitted, and may be omitted at other times except
during Easter Season.

In place of, or in addition to, the preceding, some other suitable
anthem may be used.

Facing the people, the Celebrant says the following Invitation

The Gifts of God for the People of God.

No, you said it right I just went off on a different bunny trail (pun fully intended). You are right - most Jews do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. So the Jewish faith doesn't celebrate Easter. However most Christians recognize that their faith comes from the Jewish tradition and so many Christians do celebrate the Seder.

wait. but isn't easter about jesus returning from the dead? how can it be more aligned with jewish roots...they don't believe in jesus as god's son, right? and therefore wouldn't celebrate easter.
