I am puzzled at the rulings you cite. Not being a lawyer *thank you God*, I don't understand the legal thoughts behind those rulings.

So, would you favor the Government banning books? Ms. Kagan appears to have no problem in that area of Government overreach....

Two rulings in the past 2 years affirmed, thankfully, the intent of the 2nd Amendment...are those unacceptable rulings? Have you read on the reasoning behind the inclusion of such an amendment and why it is #2 of the first 10? The Founders who weighed in on the 2nd are very pointed in their concerns about a too-strong Government and a disarmed People.
Would you rather have rulings that might be favored by Ms. Kagan? Oh, such as, banning books by the Government? Or no sympathies to the 2nd Amendment? How liberal would you prefer? Just curious...

Sorry, forgot the link.  There are some who would say that this is serious business, not a joking matter.  To which I just shrug my shoulders.  If anyone thinks life isn't better off with laughter there isn't much I can do for them.  I think a little laughter, especially during serious matters, helps everyone involved to relax and bring their best to the table.

One of the senators, a Republican one, I can't remember who, said something like, we need the back and forth here, otherwise it gets real boring.

From The Washington Post:

Graham asked, "Christmas Day bomber. Where were you at on Christmas Day?" Kagan, whose day job is solicitor general of the United States, seemed confused by his query and started answering him seriously. But Graham cut her off and said, "No. I just asked where you were at on Christmas."
Kagan's response — "Like all Jews, I was probably at a Chinese restaurant"
