The lead Rep. Donald Payne's trip to Mogadishu, Somalia, on Monday to meet on international assistance to that war-torn country and the issue of piracy was marred when Islamist insurgents fired mortars at the airport as his plane was leaving.
The money quote A defense official told FOX News that "explosive devices went off in the vicinity of Payne's aircraft when his plane was taking off from the airport in Mogadishu." However, the official could not say whether Payne was the intended target.
well, as presented, seems legit; unfortunately, there is so much distortion in these partisan news shows, that as i didn't see the pieces i know i have no idea what the truth is..having seen never seen keith olbermann have an opposing or contrasting viewpoint on his show, and his rabid jealousy of o'reilly's ratings i suspect there is a lot more to this story than meets the eye.
