Have you read the book "Please Kill Me, The Uncensored Oral History of Punk"? It focuses mainly on the NY rock scene of the mid-to-late 1970s. Highly entertaining.

I've read excerpts from it; I need to actually get the book.

Really well done, and stars some interesting people, such as Harry Potter's Rupert Grint and Sting's daughter (who plays Patti Smith).

That should be interesting, all right.

I just finished this one last night - excellent! (Thanks, Dave)

I watched it Sunday night.  Some very interesting stories and cool old footage and photos.

Just saw that during my recovery from my dental adventure.  I really love synths and the Moog especially at first listen way back when.  Going to want to see it again just to get it all straight in my head.

I'll check out the GV and give it a shot.

Thx.

Boxtrolls is on Netflix. The animation is fascinating, the story is sweet. Funny and fun to watch, an obvious morality play but with some more subtle commentary, too. Watch the end credits.

I've been wanting to see that and we were waiting for a weekend when we had Jordan to watch it but he told us he had already seen it and didn't like it. He gets scared really easily so we were wondering if it could be scary for little ones. Anywho, Jeff and I will end up watching it at some point by ourselves.
