Too many are blind to Trump's mindset: If you are willing to believe anything he tells you, you deserve to be conned. (Art of the Deal)

Yes, there can be an alternative truth or truths (though "alternate" is probably a better word), depending on perception, interpretation, or opinion; there cannot be "alternative facts", those would be "delusions".

Y'all can say what you want about Trump.  You can also blame Trump's election entirely on the DNC.  If they hadn't rigged their primaries against Bernie, we would be talking about President Sanders, not Trump.  All the polls showed that he would've creamed Trump in the general.

Y'all should be mad with your party for getting Trump elected, not Trump.  It was the DNC's own damn fault.

Independents are another matter.  Your interests are too diluted to have an impact at present.

Those who voted for Trump had to survive the last 8 years, so those who didn't will have to take their turn at surviving the next 8.  Or you can burn the house down cuz you didn't get your way.  Just like Madonna wants to do ...

Here is an interesting example of truth being abandoned for an alternative fact, but as presented by Bernie supporters. The D primary system was "rigged" a couple of decades ago; nothing to do with Bernie. That it wound up biting Democrats in the ass was just a preview of the Electoral College: another system-rigging scheme that occasionally produces undesirable results.

And despite being corrected repeatedly, Bernie supporters keep repeating the incorrect information until it's accepted as fact by most.

I guess Dept. of Homeland Security will oversee construction. If this is his idea of creating jobs through infrastructure projects, it's incredibly stupid and expensive for the number of jobs created.

Trump to Order Mexican Border Wall and Curtail Immigration

During an appearance at the Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday, Mr. Trump plans to sign an executive order to direct federal funds to be shifted toward the building of a wall on the southern border, a signature promise of his campaign. He has argued that doing so is vital to gaining control over the illegal flow of immigrants into the United States.

“Big day planned on NATIONAL SECURITY tomorrow,” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter on Tuesday night. “Among many other things, we will build the wall!”

...

The Government Accountability Office has estimated that it could cost $6.5 million per mile to build a single-layer fence, and an additional $4.2 million per mile for roads and more fencing, according to congressional officials. Those estimates do not include maintenance of the fence along the nearly 2,000-mile border with Mexico. Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, the Democratic leader, said she thought even Republicans might balk at spending what she said could be $14 billion on a wall.

...

Mr. Trump is also expected to target legal immigrants as early as this week, White House officials said, by halting a decades-old program that grants refuge to the world’s most vulnerable people as he begins the process of drastically curtailing it.

He is considering a policy that would temporarily freeze admissions of refugees from Syria and other majority-Muslim nations, and halve the number of displaced people who can be resettled on American soil. This would effectively bar the entry of people from Muslim countries — including Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and Syria — and might prioritize the admission of those who are Christian religious minorities.
