Congrats...in that one post you've effectively negated all your previous posts and sounded more stupid than anything Trump has demonstrated so far.

Play the role of martyr if you like. My bet is that Trump is working on concocting a litany of excuses/blame for why he had to quit the race. I think that (while there is still a choice) he would rather be seen as a quitter than a loser. I'm betting there is a 90% or better chance that he'll drop out before the first debate. I suppose that if he quits you will still support his decision and rationalize his reasons for doing so? Or will you take the tougher road and man-up and say... yeah, the guy wasn't cut out for the job? I'll give you that Trump supporters give him a pass on a lot of things, but to think this would get a pass is pretty demeaning to the actual intelligence of Trump supporters.
And to lump it into the category of a gaffe or absurdity by those who oppose Trump, how could it be shrugged off as meaningless if its true ? I don't get that either. This is pretty serious stuff, imo.
What will be telling is how long it lasts in the news cycle.

How do you feel about his statements suggesting that the U.S. might not come to the aid of Baltic nations under NATO in the event of a Russian invasion unless those Baltic nations had met their obligations to the U.S.? And his very recent comments that Putin would not invade the Ukraine?

See HERENoonan doesn't say it explicitly, but it appears he thinks that even if the anecdote is not true, and Trump is simply a narcissist rather than certifiably unhinged, he is not fit for the POTUS job.

I've stopped trying to follow every outrage, but that article's pretty interesting. For the record, I think he'll stay in, but would not be surprised at all if he does drop out. In the absence of our Trump shill who quit posting here knock on wood after the primaries were wrapped up, I'll just point out that Dilbert's cartoonist, who has been blogging about Trump for months, still says Trump's going to win in a landslide. With non-politicians still offering up that kind of encouragement, I think he'll stick around.

As to this story; in my observations, anytime a news outlet with an overt agenda (i.e. MSNBC, Fox News) cites "unnamed sources", it's b@llshit about 90% of the time, especially given that this alleged incident took place "several months" ago and Scarborough waited until now to bring it up. There's no need to go on about what stupid thing Trump "may have" said, he doesn't need any help. Like this recently televised quote about Putin: "He's not going into Ukraine, OK, just so you understand. He's not going to go into Ukraine, all right? You can mark it down. You can put it down. You can take it anywhere you want..."
Agreed. The problem is that there are so few genuine journalists around these days, particularly on TV. An example is when a talking head asks his guest if he thinks such and such rumor/story is true. Well, how about you or your "news" organization finds out and then tells us?
