A priceless excerpt from the the post.... You just can't make this up, it's too bizarre:
“What is the point of talking about abortion or anything else unless you get Donald Trump in to build the wall, deport illegals, end this ‘anchor baby’ nonsense, stop importing 100,000 Muslims a year, in addition to two million Third Worlders per year,” she said. “It’s madness what this country has been doing.”
Yesterday on “The Eric Metaxas Show,” Ann Coulter repeated her claim that God is using Donald Trump to save the U.S. — and all of civilization — from destruction.
Coulter started off the interview by defending herself from charges that she’s “divisive,” noting that Jesus Christ was divisive as well. “Yeah, I’m ‘divisive’ because I say things I believe, generally, so does Jesus, and liberals yell at me, that makes me ‘divisive.’ It’s the hecklers’ veto,” she said.
She went on to liken the media’s treatment of her to how it covers Donald Trump, whom she believes will save the U.S. and, therefore, the whole world.
“We are talking about the future of not only of America but of the last genuinely Christian country on earth and thus the world,” she said. “If we lose America, it is lights out for the entire world for a thousand years.”
Coulter explained that God has a role in lifting up Trump’s candidacy: “It is like the fall of Rome but, thank God, and I am not using the Lord’s name in vain, I mean that absolutely literally, thank God for raising up Donald Trump and giving us a chance to save the country.” (...)
Hallelujah!

Forgive me. I'm from the UK and don't understand the finer points of your electoral system. It's hard not to get excited when you see Trump smashing everyone else in the polls. I still think you will be seeing this next year:
I would hold off on making plane and hotel reservations for his coronation inauguration next January for the time being.

Elections 101: To get nominated as the GOP candidate for president, you are required to actually win delegates to support you at the convention. And his total so far is . . . ?

When I said 'winning' I meant his current battle to get nominated.

if trump gets elected i think he might be somewhat ineffective due to congress (seems politicians on both sides of the corruption don't like him)
however, i read where he may even pick up dem voters (more than previously thought)
and some of his platform listed on his website, such as taxation, just might appeal to those who have read it
whether or not he gets it into action is another challenge
I'm familiar with his tax plan and like it. I am completely opposed to any consumption taxes or VAT's. Would prefer a flat tax, but Trump's plan is decent. Like his stance on immigration for the most part. The hardest part to get past is his view of eminent domain. But I would hold my nose on that because of the rest he brings to the table. Currently, I see no one else on the horizon who can actually challenge the corruption. No one owns Trump. He will not be co-opted or bought and paid for by some one else before he gets to the WH. That to me is the biggest deal of all.
I have listened to him at length including many complete stump speeches, not sound bytes doled out to suit those serving up out of context quips. I have thought he was a serious candidate as soon as he announced while most still think he's just fooling everybody trying to get more famous.
To those who think he is unqualified ... Because he is a businessman ? Only a politician is qualified to be POTUS ? If that is your reasoning, I would offer that is 19th Century thinking. Just the same as those who think term limits in Congress are bad because a good one will be forced to move on. Turnover is needed to unseat the embedded corruption in Congress.
To me, this election is just as much as killing corruption as much as all the other issues. Trump is government corruption's biggest enemy because they cannot buy him out.
Trump is a 'Master Persuader' according to Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert cartoons. Check out his blog posts on the topic. He understands why Trump is winning and all his predictions have come true so far.
It's interesting, yes. Adams is actually predicting a Trump landslide in the general. But that's not an endorsement, and you seem to be confusing "leading in the polls" with "is a good choice to be president." As a country, we have to stop using "who we think is the likely winner" as the main criterion for our vote. There's no shame in voting for someone who ends up losing—it's not that kind of contest. Anyhoo, Adams is not talking about Trump's suitability as President, he's only talking about how Trump manipulates the process.
