The above is evidence of the double standard and how political correctness affects discussions about the judgement of Trump and people who support him. There is no problem with allowing armchair or vicarious diagnosis of Trump's mental health as we have seen endlessly posted in this thread for months. But as soon as he or a supporter makes one, great googity moogity, they don't know what they are talking about.

It's a two way street. Pretending it's not is getting really old.

Please show me where I have made a diagnosis of Trump's mental health. He's a self-absorbed bag of douche, but that's irrespective of whatever health issues he may or may not have.

It is also the most gobsmackingly purblind ignorant comment ANYONE can make about people who suffer from a mental illness. Based on the numbers (which I realize will put some people off because it's precariously close to Science), mentally ill people are far more likely (not simply marginally more likely) to hurt themselves and only themselves than to hurt anyone else. Period.

So, do we need to be aware that access to guns could give mentally ill people easy opportunity to hurt themselves (or, far more rarely, hurt others)? Of course. However, when we lay blame for every mass shooting at the door of those dealing with any number of mental illnesses, this is quite simply FUCKING WRONG.

No, he needed those guns to Protect his second amendment rights, self defense and sporting. He used them to Kill all those people, but he could have just as easily killed them all with a fire extinguisher, now all you liberals are going to want to ban fire extinguishers...

I sort of feel bad joking about this, but our whole response to this is laughable anyway so wtf does it matter? If 25 dead children in Sandy Hook doesn't move the needle on action, 25 dead churchgoers in rural Texas isn't going to do it. And this is what - the third major shooting story of the week? About a month after Vegas....

Overall crime is way down, so the odds of being caught up in something like this are amazingly small.It's not really comforting, but it's what we have.
