Really, really hoping that's not a euphemism.

It's the quotation marks that make you wonder, y'know. I mean, if it would have been "basement" we all would have been .

Sweet.  I have to ask:  why Scotland?   Most North Americans retire to balmier climes.

Scotland could very well secede from the UK if Brexit goes through.  No worries in that department?

In October,we moved from our home in New Jersey to beautiful, magical Scotland, and yesterday afternoon we finally got our crate of personal belongings.   I smiled a lot today as I broke down each carton packed with photos, documents, much needed winter clothes, and especially my treasures which include 5 Kachina dolls, a couple of trolls, my collection of bells, my essential oils and recipes, and kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and bakeware.    Having an Airbnb was great for the first 2 months, but now that we're settled into our farm cottage, there's nothing like having personal items surrounding you to make you feel like you're home.

I LOVE SCOTLAND!!

I was pissed at the hubby this morning so I bundled myself up and went outside to sit on the bench in the enclosed garden.  The sun was just starting to rise and the clouds were varying shades of pinks and grays, it was extraordinary.   As usual, I gave my thanks to the morning and watched as the Scotch mist  rolled over the hills and pastures.   The sheep were on the move, the birds were chirping in the hedgerows, and I started to put things back into perspective.   I sat there about 30 minutes, grateful for the opportunity to be here, grateful for a warm home and food in the frig.  I thought... it really doesn't get better than this.    So I got up to come back inside, turned around the corner of the cottage, and I see a massive rainbow in the Southern sky, just over the barns.   I could see most of the arc which was amazing in itself, and I realized... I CAN get better than this..

I've been smiling since 5:30am...

Ooh, jelly. My Check Engine just went on two days ago.

This has been an ongoing, annoying non-issue that I would totally ignore (with my mechanic's blessing) if it weren't for the fact that when the CE light is on, the cruise control is disabled. Thanks Subaru! {#Rolleyes}

That is cool stuff, though listing giclee prints of computer-retouched book covers as "handmade" is somewhat dubious.  I'm a little surprised he's able to sell those; there are usually a lot of copyright restrictions on most of the "self-marketing" sites; I guess not so much on Etsy, but definitely on Amazon and Red Bubble, but he's apparently sold thousands of units.
  Etsy is a weird site; it started as a place where people sell things they made - and I thought it was restricted to that -  but now there are people selling cameras and collectibles like old toys and magazines on there.
