I'm no connoisseur of Hawaiian cuisine. I mostly enjoy the comfort food selections. I didn't know much about the food until the
Ono Hawaiian BBQ franchise opened a bunch of locations in AZ back in the early naughts. They do a tasty chicken katsu with a yummy dipping sauce. Their mac salad is so addictive I had to track down the copycat recipe. I agree on the pre-digested chopped pig parts in a can crap. Not for me!

That site screams early 90s, but it won't keep me from checking out the festival. I'm a huge fan of Hawaiian food.
According to the 2020 census, the Hawaiian/Pacific Islander population in AZ is a mere .2%. The major migration out of HI is
headed to Las Vegas .

Spectrum's a great magazine. IIRC it's a lot more accessible to laypeople than it used to be. MIT'S Technology Review has changed the same way—also great.
