you're kidding!! that's awesome! did you get the ring back yet?
It's actually supposed to be ready this afternoon. We'll see. The place is next door to me. Been here for ages and ages. Same old man owns it. My dad bought my mom's engagement ring there. Anyway...hopefully he has it ready for me later today.
yellow ledbedder bedder stay away! our cat Fagen was very protective of us, too. once, he had a standoff with a racoon. it was brutal. he learned his lesson that day.
aww, greys. i love a grey. AND a siamese. damn, you have all the luck.
Yellow Ledbedder. He has a name now. And if I were to take Matt's name when we get married (I'm not), but if I did my last name would be Ledbetter.
I don't know what I'm going to do about all the strays out there. She wants to be friends, but they want to kill her. We went out the front door the other evening and the yellow cat was on the porch. It happened so fast. Gyps got him/her bad. All I could see was yellow fur flying. I've never seen a cat that is protective of her people like she is. It's crazy. She is vicious protective. The yellow one is mean-mean. There's a younger gray one that is trying to be friends. We were working in the yard the other day....Gyps was lying in her spot and the kitten was lying in hers and they were just looking at each other all cool and stuff.
And do you remember how I would always find the stray Siamese looking kittens? I swear, there's an abandoned trailer down the road kind of off in the woods that is full of them. They're everywhere and some of them have bobbed tails. They're wild af. I can't get anywhere near them, but I want to so bad!

It's like anywhere you go paradise is going to the dogs or something.
Sounds like Peski has skills. Hopefully no coyotes on the island. A whole other predator.
No other predators at all on the islands. No snakes of any kind. Not even mosquitoes. As far as mammals just mice, rats cats, dogs, cows, sheep and goats, No raccoons opossums or anything like that. No rabies either. 150 species of birds. No venomous insects either.,
Well, that narrows it down. No skeeters? No manbirds?

One of the negatives about living here is that there is not only no leash laws but dogs are allowed to free roam just like cats. Yesterday a group of 2 small and one very large dog swarmed my property and chased Peski. I was able to run off the dogs and Peski was no where to be found and was worried they had caught her. But an hour or so later she returned unharmed like nothing had happened. I'm now worried she won't be so lucky next time.

Yes, up until recently she was never going outside for more than 20 mins. Now that she has discovered she can catch lizards and bring them in the house and let them loose she stays out for hours now. She even learned they are easier to catch early in the morning when its cooler out and they don't move as fast.
Don't be surprised if she tries to eat the lizards then vomits. Florida cat people know this.
