Neutral Sweden and Finland have long been staunch non-Nato western allies.  Which begs the question of why NATO had to make  Poland and the Baltic states members..... Maybe the USA wanted to gloat over Russia because gloating enhances the security of American citizens?   Or because nobody in the USA has heard of the Treaty of Versailles and thought WW II was a really, good, enjoyable, family-friendly experience?

Actually, I am curious as to how Bolsonaro will address the squatter issue in the Amazon.    That one has lots of potential for ugly violence.  Squatters  apparently voted for Bolsanero in the last elections.  And are now moving into indigenous reserves.

i think trump says that for the wrong reasons

from what i've heard he opposes nato primarily for financial commitment  (we're $ucker$)

someone capable of a military backed take over of a country doesn't want any intervention from the outside

given all the recent history and political/military structure of brazil and bolsonaro, i believe he is more of a threat or potential danger to the press and people at large

he has openly praised the past military leadership and that includes dictatorship

as i understand it, bolsonaro wants the military to run the show

probably be a much closer step to that for him than for any american president

greenwald has exposed a lot "secrets" of some very powerful people

we need people like him, however he should take precautions

i don't always agree with him or the info on his site but i do wish him well
