President Donald Trump's personal pastor and spiritual advisor Paula White is asking followers to give her $229 in order to receive "prophetic instruction" on how to defeat the enemies in their lives this November.
In an email to her newsletter subscribers Thursday, White said she has "prayerfully focused on November as a month for a victory over enemies" and said dark spiritual forces are stopping her believers from achieving a "complete breakthrough in every area of your life."
The request for money in exchange for this so-called prophetic instruction comes just two weeks after the Trump administration appointed White to head up the White House's new Faith & Opportunity Initiative, which was founded by executive order last year.
"I decree a prophetic instruction for a SUDDEN DEFEAT OVER YOUR ENEMIES! Victory is yours," said the email sent to White's followers on Thursday.
The priestsâ airborne assault on alcoholism in Tver fell on Russiaâs Sobriety Day, a non-official holiday on Sept. 11 with roots dating back to Tsarist times a century ago.
The priests have been flying over Tver on Sobriety Day every year since 2006. Previously, theyâve limited their aerial interventions to prayer. This year, they added holy water bombardment for extra firepower.
Former Minnesota congresswoman and current Religious Right âpastor to the United Nationsâ Michele Bachmann appeared on the American Pastors Networkâs âStand In The Gapâ radio program last week, where she declared (again) that President Trump is deserving of continual prayer and support from Christian conservatives because âhe is, without a doubt, the most biblical president I have ever seenââfor which, she said, he has come under constant demonic attack.
âI want your listeners to know, never before have I ever seen a more pro-Israel president,â Bachmann said. âHe is, without a doubt, the most biblical president I have ever seen. Iâm going to repeat that: he is the most biblical president I have ever seen in what he does. His actions are remarkable and I would ask the audience to please pray for him continually.â
âWe have never seen a president under more attack, more undeserved attack, but I think itâs because, again, of the day that we live in, the deception that we live in, and the demonic presence of so many evil things in our society,â she added. âHe deserves our prayers. He needs our prayers. And, again, God will answer those prayers. He answered those prayers before for us and we need to not just sit back because heâs done godly things, we need to be very active and lift up his arms (just as) Arron and Miriam lifted up Mosesâ arms. This is the fellow that God has made our president. Heâs not only leading us in the United States to the greatest level of prosperity, to the greatest level of blessing toward Israelâheâs put us on a path of blessing like no other president ever hasâbut because of the times we live in, we need him more than ever to listen to godly counsel, which he has. He has some of the most godly people surrounding him that I have ever seen, so he is deserving of that level of prayer and support and we need to provide that for him."
More than 20,000 Christians have signed a petition calling for the cancellation of Good Omens, the television series adapted from Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaimanâs 1990 fantasy novel â unfortunately addressing their petition to Netflix when the series is made by Amazon Prime.
Here Pastor Jeffressâs weaponizes The Bible by proclaiming it is the literally true word of God â a dangerous tendency of power-seeking biblical literalists. If one can use the Book of Romans to justify âtak(ing) out Kim Jong-Un,â one can also use select Bible verses to prevent abortions of even rape and incest victims and imprison doctors for 99 years for providing abortions. One can use certain biblical passages to discriminate against LGBTQ persons â as the recent General Conference of The United Methodist Church has continued to do. And with enough political power biblically-bound Christians can deny the civil rights of these deemed The Other and even criminalize homosexual behavior. With political power, evangelical autocrats can use select Scriptural teachings to impose Christian beliefs and practices on non-Christians to try to âmake America Christian again.â
And one can use biblical beliefs to lie and invade other countries, as âborn againâ President George W. Bush did with Iraq â with the support of a high majority of white evangelical Christians. So beware of the Trump administrationâs building of a âdeterrent forceâ against a âthreateningâ Iran. Romans 13: 1-6-believing evangelicals, like Pastor Jeffress and Rev. Graham, are waiting in their pulpits for Godâs handpicked president to lead them to âharvestâ more Muslims for Christ.
Such evangelicals have found American invasions a tried and true way of fulfilling Jesusâ commandment in Matthew 28: 18-20: âAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.â And Americaâs political war mongers have found such Christians to be very accommodating âsubjects.â When in Romans . . .
