Congrats to both teams!

And as a German I have to say that the tournament helped women's football to be noticed in the world.

Well, most of the world.... One wag here in the U.S. noted that the women's football team would have to move to South America to get noticed.

It was.  Very discouraging when Brazil got the equalizer, more so when Marta got the go-ahead goal.  You gotta believe a win like this will fire them up!

We got a new player in our team: DaMarcus Beasley who will enrich our left side (if he passes the medical check today or tomorrow).

Beasly, like the other US-American playing for us (Steven Cherundolo), is part of the US-Soccer team and came directly from the Rangers in Glasgow.

Welcome!

 BTW: This should be kopak-free-zone.... {#Nyah}

If he can leave a champion, it'd be hard to say it wasn't successful for the club.

watching the replay of the game. proud of the US boys. no one expected them to win...i know i didn't. they missed bradley who was the victim of a rubbish red card from the previous game.
fair do's to brazil...they won all their games and were the class of the tournament...PS...A CRACKING GAME.
funny how england can never manage to get to the final of a tournament!!
still, next summer in south africa right?

    Me too,US team is the talk of the town,in soccer experts comments here,but when Brazil woke up in the second half of the game,they were just onlookers.  I am listening to Walk on by,right now!  Nice !

I've been at work all day.  Shame the US lost.  I was looking forward to the head scratching here in Indiana. "Huh?  Football?  That ain't football."

So did I, big part of the 2nd half... Brazil just came back to 2-2 now...

Wasn't the best Top Gear, although Stephen Fry's GRINDR was kinda funny... Wonder if there's a hetero version
