France’s Tax Burden Now the Highest of Any OECD Country 

French President Emmanuel Macron this week suspended an unpopular increase in fuel taxes to quell protests against the hike. But if the so-called Yellow Vests movement wants to push now for a full cancellation of the increase, it just got some data to support its case: France had the highest tax burden across the 34 OECD nations last year, according to a report published Wednesday. The ratio increased to 46.2 percent, pushing France above Denmark, which had led the ranking for more than a decade.

it's the green curve that is relevant now, but also note the pre-war slide in the earning of the upper percentiles. France has a tradition of "levelling" inequality.

yep,
I wouldn't see it as an opposition to a carbon tax per se as much as frustration at an increase in taxes for the lower three-quarters of the population while real incomes have been sliding for a long time and the "rich" are given tax breaks.  or in a  word: inequality.

Radio Paradise est ma radio favorite depuis longtemps, par contre je n'ai jamais fait le lien entre le nom de la station et le lieu d’où elle émet. C’est affreux ce qui arrive a cet endroit si loin de nous tout en étant présent tout le temps.
J’espère que vous allez vous relever rapidement de ce immense malheur et que vous allez continuer à émettre pour notre plus grand plaisir.

Bonjour,
un petit post en guise de support pour RP.
En avion, en voiture, dans le métro ou à la maison, RP est devenue notre radio musicale principale. FIP était ma radio musicale principale mais elle est maintenant passée en seconde.
Au boulot je passe 30% de mon temps en voiture allant d'un domicile à un autre. Avec le BlueTooth RP m'accompagne et me procure joie et évasion.
Les applis de RP sont incroyables ! 

a small post as a support for RP.
By plane, car, subway, ..., or at home, RP has become our main music radio. FIP was my main music radio but it is now in second.
At work I spend 30% of my time driving from one home to another. With the BlueTooth RP accompanies me and gives me joy and escape.
RP's apps are amazing!

Salut, bande de gens !
Je suis un fidèle auditeur de Bill depuis 2001 et.. je viens à peine de découvrir le forum "France". C'est le pays le plus représenté (et de loin !) de toute la zone Europe. Etonnant... très bonne surprise !
Si j'avais connu avant, j'en aurais profité pour monter des évenements-rencontres sur ma région (j'étais en Champagne-Ardenne), parce qu'il y a toujours beaucoup à discuter et à partager sur la musique. Ca pourrait toujours se faire mais je vis un peu loin de France, maintenant.
Un salut amical à tous mes compatriotes ici.

ben ils avaient oublié de graisser la patte à nos politiciens ... maintenant c'est fait, tout roule comme avant ;-)

(une belle promesse de pantouflage dans un organisme international est très appréciée également).

Alors comme ça quelques centaines de Wallons perdus dans les forets ardennaise s'amusent à empecher des million d'europeens d'avancer vers des lendemains qui chantent en refusant de signer le traité CETA .Et tout ça au nom d'une soit disant démocratie .Comme si nos dirigeants ne savaient pas ce qui est bon pour nous .{#Moon}
