Montana's always had pockets of white supremacists but like everywhere else, the internet connected them and made them brave. Livingston's a nice town though.

This whole issue is pure theater. Just look at Texas. Last year, a state representative filed a bill to ban drag shows that a bar listed as "family-friendly". I have no idea what that means or if it was indeed "safe for families"... but of course this guy, Bryan Slaton, had his popularity skyrocket.
Fast forward to last month, when the same guy was forced to resign after getting an intern drunk and having sex with her. Note the headlines... he was expelled by the God-fearing Texas house the day after he resigned. They really put their foot down on that one!
Of note in that story above, he stopped at a drug store to get his victim some "morning after" drugs to make sure this "family man" didn't start another family outside of his marriage. Of course, he's the guy in 2021 that introduced legislation to make abortion a capital offense in Texas. As quoted, the honorable Mr. Slayton said: âThe bill will end the discriminatory practice of terminating the life of innocent children, and will guarantee the equal protection of the laws to all Texans, no matter how small". I guess his innocent children don't count?
So it's not the drag queens you need to stay away from, it's the folks crusading against them who are truly dangerous.

i could be wrong, i don't have time to keep up with all of the political theater
but i think the objection is getting children/kids/minors involved
most of these shows are adult themed, maybe like stripper type performances
maybe a bit risque no?

Yes, it can get absurd very often, but to use it as a factor for defining "fascism" is a stretch. If you want a clear example of a power which seeks to "silence any opposition or debate regarding disagreeable thoughts or ideas rather than engage in a debate and discuss the differences in view points" look no further than the governor of Florida, as well as the legislatures of several other states. If they don't like drag shows (jeez, what would Milton Berle have to say about that?), or people who are not like they are, just ignore them like they do school shootings.
The Constitution said we should all have access to guns. It said nothing about allowing seductive indoctrination/grooming dances performed by those who reject their God-given plumbing. That's not free speech...it's dangerous (remember...guns are for the militia to protect us).
PS - You can also ignore the 14th Amendment about paying our bills... it helps to reduce the number of IRS agents who might recover what's owed by those who don't like to pay taxes (another Constitutional power they'd rather ignore... that "promote the general Welfare" crap was before there were so many counting on social security and medicare).

When Republican lawmakers and talking heads speak these days, this is what I hear:
