I think I'm going to retire. My luck can't possibly improve. Hard mode made the second guess almost impossible...took a while to even come up any words.
yep, literally. Got 98 games out of 100 with that strategy on wordleunlimited then I got bored. PS. if you want to go for as few iterations as possible, steam is the best first choice. briny gets the br consonant pairing which is quite common and also the y ending could gets the last two vowels and a couple of other useful consonants. There's not much left after that.
That's why you might consider playing in hard mode. Once you "get" a letter, you have to use it, eliminating the option of listing 2 words to "cover" the vowels, get another letter or two, and figure it out. You have to set hard before starting...but it carries over once set.

I'm averaging 4 or 5 out of 6, though I did get a 2 one time.

It's one game per 24 hours; starts at midnight my time so probably starts at midnight everywhere.

Did the same thing as SFW (with one additional try on my part), only with a completely different "likely option" - oh, and I did start with "adieu" but I can see that as being problematic if it ends up being a word with two duplicate vowels.
