I like how Bill is calling out folks who have donated. But his pronunciation of  'Buda' Texas just now is pretty hilarious to the locals. It's pronounced 'Byoo-da', not 'Boo-da'. To be fair, we have lots of place names with non-standard pronunciations:
- Tow, Texas. Rhymes with 'cow', not 'toe'. The original Tow is at the bottom of Lake Buchanan - Lake Buh-cannon.
- Burnet. BURN-it, durn it.
- Eldorado. El-dor-A-do.
- Pedernales. Perd-n-aliz.

Some places are starting to revert back though, like 'Llano' used to be 'LAN-o' but 'Yah-no' is making a comeback. 'Man-shack' is going back to 'Men-chaka' - actual spelling is 'Manchaca'.

Anyway, 'Boo-da' gave me a chuckle...

I just received a Birthday gratitude, some news.  Happy Birthday to us!  email from Radio Paradise this morning.  It celebrates RP's 21st birthday.   Hmm.....  I must have started listening to RP about 6 years after the project was born.

I would share the contents of the email but it is is only for RP supporters who are part of the 10% — yes, that exclusive cosmopolitan club.  This one was tailored to Canadian supporters.

.... a nod is as good as a wink ....

Everything seems to be working fine, except for an issue with new Paypal recurring payments. I've temporarily disabled those while we sort that out. Paypal is always an adventure...

Do you publish the target amount and current amount raised anywhere?

Some of us would like to slap a 200% green tax on the Bitcoin transactions but don't worry, for the foreseeable future, we are all hat and no cattle

RP is finally able to accept payments in a variety of currencies. This makes supporting us a lot simpler if you’re outside the US, and avoids expensive currency conversions.

We’re also now able to accept direct debit payments from bank accounts.

We can process bank debits in Euro, British Pounds, Swedish & Danish Kroner, and Australian, New Zealand, and Canadian dollars. Oh, and US dollars, too.

We can process credit/debit card and Paypal payments in all of those currencies plus Norwegian Kroner, Swiss Francs, Israeli Shekels, Mexican Pesos, Japanese Yen, Brazilian Reals, Czech Koruny, Russian Rubles, and Singapore and Hong Kong dollars.

We also accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and Monero.

We’ll be starting one of our twice-a-year fundraisers in a day or two, and we’d really appreciate it if some of you could jump on and put the new system to a thorough test before that. We’ve put a lot of work into getting it right, but no doubt there’s still a bug or two in there somewhere.

You can do that here:  https://radioparadise.com/support

Thanks a lot!
